Brrrr

February 19, 2015

The high yesterday was 39. The high today is 34. Brrrrr!

brrrr

Too bad we can’t just stay home and watch movies. But good thing Samantha has this warm bunting for a fun outing to the dermatologist to see about Spencer’s eczema. Taking all 3 kids to the doctor’s office at 10:00 when it’s supposed to be 23 degrees? Sounds like a fun morning, huh?  Don’t be jealous of me.  🙂 Hopefully the doc can give us something to help with the little dry patches all over poor Spencey. This cold, dry air is brutal on him!

In other news, on Tuesday, Samantha got to meet her future buddy, the other baby Sam! Sam was born 6 days after Samantha and they had a very exciting playdate on the floor!

Can’t wait to watch these cuties grow up together!

Stay warm!

ps – I know that our little cold snap is nothing compared to what those in the northeast are dealing with…but it’s cold for us!

The boys were out of school for President’s Day and it’s been rainy and cold which means we’ve just been hanging at home…and it sure has been nice!

Be Mine!

February 13, 2015

We’ve been celebrating Valentine’s Day early around here. The boys don’t have school today so they both had their school Valentine party on Wednesday. We made our cards last weekend and what kind did we make?

masks

Big cats of course!  🙂  I was so proud of Maxwell for writing all of the wording on his cards. He then drew some cats on his and Spencer’s and then we just made color copies and tied them to the different masks.

Cute…and candy free! 🙂  I didn’t know Valentine’s Day was basically Halloween 2.0 until the boys got into school and came home with tons and tons of candy. They obviously love it!

On Wednesday, the boys wore their red and Samantha wore her pink, of course!

Maxwell had a great time at his school party and even ate some McDonald’s chicken nuggets. shocker! Love this picture of him with Mrs. Kathy…

While Robert will always “be mine”, we both know Valentine’s Day is all about the kids now and I’m so happy to have these 3 little Valentines!

My heart could burst! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Doctor, busted lip, and a Sunday stroll

February 12, 2015

First, Samantha had her 2 week check-up yesterday and is up to 7lbs, 13oz! She’s obviously a good eater! That puts her in the 75th % for weight. She’s 20.5 inches long now which puts her in the 50th-75th % for height. Head circumference is 14. Growing girl!

She had to get her heel pricked which she didn’t like at all but, we survived.

Tuesday was kind of a rough day. We had some carpet installers here and their banging and staple guns meant Samantha did more of this…

cry

than this.

sleep

Then Maxwell slipped getting out of the bath and ended up with a very fat lip!

fat lip

Poor guy.

But, we’re still making it fine. Let’s focus on something fun like the Sunday Stroll we took last weekend.  The boys had on their glasses and were ready to go!

glasses

Our walk ended up being way longer than we anticipated but it was gorgeous weather and we were all happy for the fresh air. Spencer insisted on walking – or actually jogging – the entire way only getting in the stroller when we made him. He probably walked 2 miles!

stroll

He also bit it about 6 times but he’d just get up, wipe his hands off and keep going! This kid is tough…and cute!

stroll

Samantha enjoyed it all from the sling – her first ride in it!

stroll

Here’s to better days and many more pretty afternoon strolls!
