Happy Monday! Back to Christmas Day…after we had checked out all that Santa brought, we got ready to have some family over for a great lunch.
We spent the morning playing with new toys and catching up with family!
We ended the night with a few leftovers…
and tired, happy selves.
Merry Christmas indeed!
We were so happy to see that Santa came to visit us and boy, oh, boy! Santa was good to my 3!
The kids weren’t allowed to get up until 6:30 and Maxwell was by our bed right at 6:30! Samantha followed and then they had to walk up Spencer, of course.
Everyone was pretty darn excited and happy. Samantha got her big Barbie head and her purple bike. Spencer got his Legos and Maxwell got his Nintendo Switch. He also got a letter from Santa saying his jersey was on backorder with the elves! Oops!
Santa really is the best!!

By Christmas Eve the kids had already gotten several fun Christmas presents so that morning there were tea parties to be had…
Barbie houses to be put together…
and Legos to be built!
We then put on our holiday finest for church!
The kids wanted to sit in the balcony and after having listened to Samantha complain about how she couldn’t see at the boys’ Christmas concert at school, I thought the front row of the balcony sounded like a great idea. Perfect viewing for all!
That night we got the cookies and milk ready and did our best to sleep – visions of sugarplums and all!
Merry merry indeed!
We celebrated with my side of the family the weekend before Christmas. My brother and his crew made the trip up from Florida so we could all celebrate together in Birmingham in GJ and Daddo’s new house! Have I mentioned my parents bought the house next door to us? I don’t think I have but they did and it’s AWESOME! They won’t be here all the time but we sure do love it when they are! They may not have much furniture in the house yet but they had Christmas decorations!!
Of course the cousins all had fun playing together – and “helping” GJ make cookies!
We thankfully had decent weather so they were all able to run out some energy outside…
We also had Susu here which was extra special to get to see her with all of her great grandkids!
Christmas cousin fun is exhausting!
We’re so glad we could all be together!
Like the past few years, Gingerbread Elf came to visit on the 1st of December. He kept a watch over the kids, gave good reports to Santa, and even brought a few goodies! Some of his antics…
He brought ornaments for everyone! A ball and glove for Maxwell, a dinosaur for Spencer, a ballerina for Samantha, a candy house for me, and a Frosty for Robert!
He also brought personalized mugs with hot chocolate for the kids…
Yum!
He also brought bath bombs! Gingerbread is the best. Until next year, Gingerbread…
