It’s baseball season again! Maxwell played T-ball last year and this year moves up to coach pitch. They had their first games this weekend and actually had one on Saturday and one on Sunday to make up for spring break next week. I have to say, baseball has never been my favorite sport…at all. But, I LOVE watching Maxwell out there. He looks so sharp in his uniform and I love to watch him paying attention and trying to make a play…it’s fun.
Saturday was our first time out to the fields at the high school and we snuck in and took a little picture on one of the big fields…
Maxwell is #9 and had two great hits – hit 1 and hit 2 – during the Saturday game and he also got to play pitcher which was awesome. He had several good stops and throws to first for an out!
Most importantly, he had a lot of fun!
On Sunday, Susan and Barry nicely agreed to be the designated spectators at baseball while Robert and I went to Spencer’s first soccer game. Maxwell had 3 more great hits and got to play shortstop!
Spring ball – here we come!! Let’s go Cardinals, let’s go!!

Looking really sharp in his uniform – brings back a lot of memories of my summers at baseball games!

Good ole number 9, just like his dad! It does bring back memories!
Dad says
Maxwell will be ripping the cover off the ball by the end of the season!

This could be Maxwell’s sport. He has the mental sharpness and capacity to enjoy baseball. We spent many happy days over at the little ballpark with hot dogs, cokes, and the best hamburgers around. I hope Maxwell gets off to a good start,
