Happy Monday! Hope you all had a nice weekend. We had a great one with temps in the 60’s and 70’s! It was a little chilly but a welcome change from the 90’s we had all last week. We didn’t have much on the schedule and took full advantage of the low-key weekend to just hang out as a little family of 3. On Saturday we went out and did a little car window shopping! Fun!! I’m going to outgrow my little car within the next two years so we’re just trying to get an idea of what we might want. We started out at Lexus to check out their SUV’s and, while very nice, the RX is too small for what I want and the GX just seems too big. There was a Jeep dealership right next door and we headed over there to check out the newly redesigned Grand Jeep Cherokees and, let me tell you, those things are nice! I had a Grand Cherokee as my first car and always really liked it. Then my mom got a new one as a rental car recently and mentioned how great the redesign is and she was right! It’s the perfect size with all the features you could want. It’s definitely the winner so far! Not sure when we’ll actually move from shopping to buying but it’s fun to think about!
The rest of the weekend was spent playing with our favorite 8.5 month old. We’re really trying to get Maxwell to crawl. He’s SO close. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth….
It’s really cute…
While he’ll get up on those knees sometimes, he still definitely prefers to scoot around on his stomach with his little legs kicking behind him…
It’s very Superman-ish….
and then I got this face which just made me laugh..
🙂 He’s super close…if he’ll just get those knees moving he’ll be on the go!
Know what else happened this weekend? Maxwell’s super cute cousin, Delaney, turned two!! Happy Birthday Delaney!!! Here she is this weekend all dolled up in her princess gear…
Fun stuff! Delaney’s little brother also got christened on Sunday. A big weekend all around! Hope you all had a great weekend!
Maxwell will take off any day now and your life will change yet again! The new Jeeps really are nice – very pleasant surprise! We had a great week-end with Delaney and Nate and their festivities but we missed your new family.
Go Maxwell! Love the jeeps! We missed you all this weekend!
Sorry we couldn’t be there to celebrate Delaney and Nate. I hope the princess will grant us some leniency since we missed her gala. We promise to make it up to her 🙂
I think that life will be much more exciting when Maxwell starts crawling. He will be everywhere and into everything. Now is the time to babyproof!
