Cleaning off the iPhone! and there’s a lot today!
Have a GREAT weekend!!
Spencer’s favorite thing to do these days is stack stuff. Toys, blocks, really anything…
He’s especially loved these mason jars he pulled out of the drawer…
and then he loves to clap for himself when he gets them all stacked up!
He’s a stackin’ fool!
and a cute fool at that! 🙂
After the snow and freezing temps of late last week, we ended up having a BEAUTIFUL weekend with our first taste of spring! yes! On Saturday, Robert was going to work a community service project for most of the day so it was just me and the boys. It was still pretty chilly that morning so I decided to be brave and take them to see the Lego movie (I stole your idea Susan!)…
Yep, that picture pretty much sums up our experience. Ha! Actually, it really went ok. I took Spencer’s chair for him and plenty of snacks and we made it through about half of the movie.
Spencer really did pretty good until he wanted to get out of his chair. He then sat in Maxwell’s seat with him for a few minutes…
(cutest things ever with their arms intertwined) but that didn’t last long. He then wanted to walk all over the theater, up the stairs, etc. I let him walk up and down on the side for a while (it was a 10am movie and there were only kids and parents in there obviously) but then we all decided to call it quits and go get some lunch! Funny story about lunch – I took them into Moe’s and, while ordering, I turned to Maxwell and said “buddy, do you get an Art Vandalay regular or junior?” and the guy making the burritos said, “He just gets a junior. He’s the one that comes in all the time with the blonde lady, right?” HA! The guy at Moe’s knew what my kid wanted to eat better than I did. Cracked. me. up.
Sunday was just a “chamber of commerce” day. Sunny skies, warm temps, perfect. You HAD to be outside.
Spencer got up from his nap before Maxwell and I took him outside to get his first real taste of playing in the sand table. Now that he can finally walk, it’s like a whole new world for him outside! He loved it…
but kept getting a little confused about playing in the sand v. eating the sand! 🙂
Pretty soon, big brother was up to join…
That picture makes me all kinds of happy. Seeing them play together is just the best. The next picture is pretty much the best too…
Yes, that’s a toothbrush, full of sand, that he’s chewing on. I love that kid.
It was a GREAT weekend for sure! See you tomorrow!
On Wednesday of last week, school was cancelled and everyone was told to stay home because of the threat of bad weather. Well, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day but then, that night, the anticipated snow finally started to fall. And it fell fast! Literally within 30 minutes we went from no snow to 2.5 inches…
The next morning it was a winter wonderland!
This was the fun snow too. Fluffy snow that you could play in with the sun shining to keep you from getting too cold. The roads were fine to drive and, because of that sunshine, it was really all melted away by the next day. We got the boys out there to have snow much fun! 🙂
This was also the perfect snow to build a snowman!! I started with a little ball of snow and then started rolling it around like I remember seeing my Dad do when we were little. Pretty soon, I had built this snowman…
or maybe I should say snowgirl given her flower crown and nose! Maxwell loved the snowgirl but mostly loved digging into it with his shovel. My poor little snowgirl had no chance against that shovel and the shining sun!
Things were pretty much back to normal by that night! While all this snow has been fun, I much prefer the spring like weather we had this past weekend. See ya later winter!
It’s President’s Day and while Robert has to work, the boys and I have the day off! yay!
We’re off to enjoy it! Hope you do too!
ps – why can’t they both be looking at the camera and smiling in the same picture? too much to ask I guess! 🙂
