Whew, this week has been a doozy! Let’s go through the members of the family.
Spencer – sweet baby. He’s still not talking actual words but he is babbling up a storm.
He may not talk, but he moves faster than you can imagine. And opens doors – including the front door which now has to remain locked at all times! Keeping up with him is an adventure.
We had his post tubes follow-up appointment yesterday and got a good report. He’s had drainage coming out of his ears for a week – yes, as in goo coming out of his ears. Seeing all the drainage only validated our decision to get tubes. He hasn’t even been really snotty and it’s been coming out of his ears every day – which meant all of that used to just sit in his ears! Poor guy. We got some ear drops to try and clear it all up. By the way, trying to entertain my wiggly 16 month old in an ENT office is a workout – no! don’t touch that! close that cabinet! don’t push that button!
He’s busy but I sure do love him!
Maxwell – my sweet, sweet big boy. He had a rough week testing some boundaries at home. See this innocent little face?
Well, it can be mischievous.
He can get sassy and not “act nicely” like he’s supposed to. We had two incidents this week that I’m still processing. He’s just growing up and seeing how far he can push things – and we clearly need to have a strong action and consequence program set. I know it’s all part of growing up and he’s not doing anything other 3.5 year olds don’t do. We’ll get through it!
Look at that face. love.
Robert – he’s been out of town at a conference in Biloxi since Wednesday. He’s been living it up at the blackjack table in a smoke filled casino! ha! Needless to say, I think he’s ready for a weekend at home.
Me – after feeling pretty sick all week, I think the antibiotic is finally helping and I’m hoping to get back to 100% by the weekend. Fingers crossed! After dealing with these two lively boys without Robert for most of the week, I am definitely ready to get one of these at the Mexaurant tonight!
Hope you all had a great week and have fun plans for the weekend!
