Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...

A new little feature for today…photos by Maxwell! Maxwell loves to periodically get my phone and play photographer. It’s always interesting to see what ends up in my photo roll when he’s finished! One thing is clear in his mind…heads are overrated!
Heads or not, he’s kinda got the rule of 3rds down in this next one…
I like his artistic eye! 🙂
He also must think he has really good lookin feet because I get a lot of pictures of these chubby little toes…
I also sometimes get self-portrait gems like this one…
and even the occasional photo of Mickey Mouse…
or an up-close abstract of the pillow.
(and he also managed to actually post that pillow pic to Instagram all by himself! ha!)
But, I don’t mind him taking over the camera because it makes me laugh and then, every once in a while, I’ll get something like this…
yay! A little blurry but I’ll take it! 🙂
ps – 1 month from today Maxwell will be 3!! how in the world?!
We had a good weekend catching up on things around here. Robert got to play golf on Sunday so he was happy! On Saturday, we ended up going out to eat for both lunch and dinner. It was a beautiful day so we headed over to The Club for lunch to enjoy the view. We like going there because we can sit outside and it’s “nice” food but still totally kid-friendly. One of my 3 lunch dates…
Saturday evening we were at The Summit to go to the Apple Store and decided to just grab dinner while we were out there. There are some kid-friendly restaurants there but, since it was only 5:30, we decided to take a chance and go to Seasons 52. Great food, not kid-friendly. Unfortunately, they couldn’t sit us at a booth (they were all reserved?!) and we had to sit at a table right in the front middle of the giant restaurant. All in all, both kids were very well behaved. Maxwell entertained himself for quite a while on my iphone…
thank you Apple!
And Spencey was as good as he could be. When our food came though, he did start squealing – happy squeals! – but squealing nonetheless. Robert and I then took shifts taking him outside while we ate.
It might not have been a leisurely dinner with relaxing conversation, but we did get really good food and a change of pace from our usual Mexaurant! 🙂 and I don’t think Spencey’s squeals disturbed the other diners too much.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
Well, another week in the books! It’s been sorta stressful around here this week for a variety of reasons. The massive rainstorms we had every day didn’t help. But, we made it through with a little of this and a little of that.
Maxwell got a haircut…
We told her to just trim it up but still leave it a little shaggy. She did a great job.
and, yes, I’m working on teaching him how to do a “natural” smile instead of this cheese face!
Maxwell got to go to school on Monday and Wednesday and it was a great week because Lila was there! Maxwell reeeeeeeally likes Lila! The teacher told me that they were holding hands down the hall and that he saved the seat next to him for her in the car on the play ground. He even wanted to take an extra squeeze packet in his lunch on Wednesday to give to Lila. awwwww. Luckily I think Lila likes Maxwell almost as much as he likes her! 🙂
Spencey has been full of mysteries this week. On Monday he just stopped nursing. Nursed great on Sunday and then, on Monday, nope. But, he’ll still take a bottle of pumped milk so, who knows? We even took him up the doctor to make sure he it wasn’t his ears or something…
But, the doctor said he’s healthy as a horse. No clue why he decided to change things up. Although, based on his “output” this week, I do think he has some sort of little stomach bug…probably something he picked up from crawling around the dirty floors…not that my floors are dirty. Clean enough to eat off of! See…
Maybe once the bug clears up he’ll nurse again? I don’t know and I can’t worry about it. As long as he’ll drink the pumped milk, we’re fine. Maxwell nursed for 10 months until my appendix burst so if I can just get 10 months in for Spencer, everything will be even and fair (it always has to be even and fair for both kids, right?!)
One thing that made me happy this week was that I finally updated the board over my desk to include pics of both Maxwell and Spencer…
Love looking at these pictures all day!
Overall, it was just one of those weeks where I wished I had a mouse-ka-tool to magically fix some things…
At least I’ve got my two little Mouseketeers to keep me smiling! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
About two weeks ago, I walked into Spencer’s room to get him up and saw this…
(He wasn’t very happy with me taking time to snap a picture!)
His head over the rail only meant one thing – time to move down that crib! This crib has 3 levels so we first just took it down 1 level…
but realized he could still reach the top just on his knees and so then decided we better just go all the way down! Of course Maxwell had to get in there to play too.
Silly boys.
Also see how the bumpers are slumped down in the middle? That’s from my little snuggler hugging on to them every night! 🙂
See you tomorrow!
