10 Months old!

August 21, 2013

Double digits!  Spencer is 10 months old and I could not be more in love with this squeezable little baby boy.

Maxwell at 10 months old…

He’s just so happy and smiley.  I literally cannot wait to walk into his room each morning and see his big grin smiling up at me from his bed.  He’s still a major wiggle worm and always on the go but when he does actually stop and snuggle with you, it’s just the best thing ever.

Showing off his teeth – 2 on the bottom and 1 on the top with another one right behind it!

Spencer is a crawling machine.  He can get anywhere he wants to be…and he can get there fast!  His favorite places to go are straight for the air vents in the floor and into the bathroom where he loves to pull up on the tub and almost fall in.  Not good!  He can also get to any of Maxwell’s toys in a split second which leads to numerous cries of “No no ya-ya!” from big brother!

He’s nursing/taking a bottle 3 times a day – in the morning, around 12:00 and then before bed.  He’s also eating 3 meals a day.  We’re still doing baby foods mixed with oatmeal or rice cereal but I’m also experimenting with all sorts of finger foods.  So far watermelon and peaches have been the big hits!  Broccoli and peas not so much.  We also think he might have a little allergy to spinach.  He had a spinach pancake one night and broke out into hives all over his face…more investigation needed there.

He’s a good sleeper and is still taking 2 naps a day around 9:00 am and around 2:00 pm.  He starts school next week so we’ll see what happens to that morning nap!

Spencer is definitely tall and starting to “lean out” a bit…but he’s still my chubby baby!

He’s mastered drinking from a straw and is learning new tricks every day.  He can pull up on everything and is slowly starting to figure out how to move his feet once he’s up.  Walking is coming!

Spencer still continues to love Maxwell best.  He just cracks up at his big brother.  The louder Maxwell is, the harder Spencer laughs!

Belated happy ten months, sweet Spencer! I can’t believe you’ll soon be a whole year! Time is passing too quickly! Looking forward to Maxwell’s big party Sat.
