We started the day bright and early…well, actually kind of dark and early…and couldn’t wait to see if Santa came!
Good news, he definitely showed up! Boy, oh boy did he show up!! The boys scored some hoodies, a baby Yoda, Nintendo games, golf clubs, and all kinds of surprises. Samantha racked up with LOLs, makeup, and even the robot cat she wanted.
All three got a new chair for the playroom, giant candy, and even a foosball table and a Pop-A-Shot! which are still to be put together. Thanks, Santa. 😉
We had some very excited kids Christmas morning!
I must have been very good this year because this giant package that these elves pulled out of its hiding place was for me!
This head elf even wrapped it all by himself! I was impressed!!
It was a new computer and a very happy Christmas for me, indeed! Just when all the presents were unwrapped and everything was winding down, I pulled out one more surprise and told the kids to go to the front room to check for one more present. I decided they had also been very good this year and deserved the two big presents they added – at the last minute! – to their lists. Samantha got the LOL airplane and the boys got the Occulus Quest 2 VR set. I had some very happy and very excited kids!!
We then spent the day at home with just us 5 which was obviously very different but also really nice. The kids stayed in their pjs until mid-afternoon and Robert and I took our time cooking a good meal. No one was forced to pick up their toys or put on a collared shirt and everyone was able to just relax and play. While we missed seeing family, we tried to focus on the positives!
Thanks to the self timer on my phone I even got a family picture! A true Christmas miracle!
Merry Christmas!
