Happy Independence Day! β€οΈ
After a nice church service we headed up to the club for brunch with family…
and some more friends too! π
When we got home the kids finally got to see what all fun stuff the bunny brought and then Maxwell and Robert went to play golf and I went to play tennis where I won the golden bunny!
A fantastic Easter all around!
Love these people!
We had a wonderful Easter day with the most gorgeous spring weather! Saturday, Samantha and Violet had some fun dyeing eggs…
and the bunny did come Easter morning! Though he wrapped everything up so the kids couldn’t open it all and check it out until after lunch.
That was for the best because we had an early morning getting out the door to church.
Both boys served as acolytes at the 9am service and did an excellent job.
We were happy to see lots of buddies at church…
We then had brunch up at the club – more pictures tomorrow!
Make it a great day!
First, yesterday went well and Samantha’s big yucky tonsils – and adenoids! – are gone! She’s pitiful but recovering. I think a day full of hearts and love – and maybe some ice cream too! – will make her feel better!
She took her Valentines to school on Monday and they were Taylor Swift themed, of course!
Spencer took the same Valentine he and Maxwell have taken the past few years – why mess with success?!
Roll Tide and Happy Valentine’s Day!
On the first day of 2024 we got up, put on our crimson and headed to the Rose Bowl! Roll Tide!
We ended up taking the light rail out to Pasadena and then hopping on a shuttle bus to actually get to the stadium. It worked great!
Everyone was excited to see the stadium and we took lots and lots of pictures!
We had great seats and the sun really warmed everyone up – and made it a little hard to see but we managed!
It was a great game – lots of highs and plenty of lows.
While the game didn’t end the way we wanted, I’m so glad we went. Robert checked off that bucket list item and we all got to see what ended up being Saban’s last game. We were there for the end of an era and that’s pretty cool.
Sometimes you just have to say “yes” to crazy ideas and this is one I’m so glad we said “yes” to! We flew home the next day landing in Birmingham at about 10:30pm. It was a rude awakening for school the next morning but definitely worth it. Roll Tide!
