Overalls

Last week Maxwell and I spent a little time hanging out together in the grass.  When we first got outside I laid him down and he just stayed perfectly still for several minutes…a rarity!

Maybe he was just taking time to contemplate the meaning of life…

I’m sure he’ll tell me what it is when he learns to talk.  🙂

I wanted to take some pictures that day because he was wearing one of my favorite outfits – his overalls. I don’t know what it is about babies in overalls but I don’t think there’s much cuter…especially when it’s Maxwell in baby blue overalls!

Silly boy!  It was the perfect afternoon just hanging out with my sweet little overall wearing baby boy!

Monday, Monday

Good morning everyone!  or afternoon or evening….whenever you’re stopping by.  Hope you all had a great weekend.  While ours was HOT it was also nice.  On Saturday morning we headed down to the Pepper Place Farmer’s Market…

There were lots of great fruits and veggies around but we particularly liked this booth…the Pie Lady!

We didn’t come home with any squash or zucchini, but we did come home with a red velvet whoopie pie!  🙂

Maxwell loved checking out all the people…

and I loved my breakfast burrito…

FYI – that Starbucks came from the Crestline Starbucks which closed this weekend…sad, sad day.  I go to that Starbucks pretty much every day and on the weekends we have a little routine of getting up, throwing Maxwell in the stroller in his pj’s and walking the few short blocks to get our Starbucks.  I love that routine.  Guess we’ll have to find a new weekend tradition.

I digress…back to the Farmer’s Market – it was a fun morning and I think Maxwell liked it!

The rest of the weekend we tried to get Maxwell to crawl but no luck yet….he can rock back and forth on his knees though!

We practiced standing up…

and we went to the park…with full sun coverage hat of course!

The weekend was great but, as always, too short.  Can’t wait for the holiday weekend coming up!

Friday Favorite

Happy Friday!  And let me just say, TGIF!! I feel like this week has lasted forever.  I’m so ready for the weekend and can’t wait to play with my favorite little boy all day Saturday and Sunday.

Today’s Friday Favorite is our Zany Zoo!  It’s this awesome wooden cube “loopty-loo routes for you to wind through, zigzag paths to race up and down and spinners that spin!”  They say it’s for ages 1 and up but Maxwell loves it now…

We pulled it out of the closet last week and he’s had so much fun exploring it…

There’s entertainment on every side…

Ours was a baby shower gift but you can get them at Target – Zany Zoo

Maxwell loves his so much he gave it a round of applause!

The Zany Zoo is also a good balance tool – as long as it’s pushed up against the couch so it doesn’t slide.  Look at my little dude standing up! So strong!

He holds on tight and can totally keep himself up…

Look, Momma!  One hand!

Of course, we’re still working on balance a little!  🙂

Choo Choo!

It’s been pretty chilly here this week so Susan has had to think up some fun indoor activities for Maxwell.  Yesterday’s adventure was riding the train at the mall!  Fun stuff!

I love how he’s holding on.  Susan said he had the best time and bounced up and down on her knee the entire ride.
