Road trip part 2

First, Happy Birthday to my brother today!  Keath – hope you have a GREAT day full of Delaney chatter and Nate giggles!!

Second, back to the road trip!

After stopping in Searcy we drove into Little Rock and headed over to Laura’s house to see my friends. These girls are more than just friends though.  They’re forever friends…the ones that have always been there, and will always be there…no matter what.  I’m so grateful to have Hannah, Laura and Andee and love that all of our little bitties are now getting to know each other too!  🙂

Maxwell was in hog heaven (literally given all the Razorback fans around!) getting to play with all of Livi’s toys…

and then when he found out that Livi had a swingset in her backyard?! It was almost too good to be true.

It was a beautiful night out and we had the best time just catching up and enjoying the weather.

Joshua climbed up the wall and slid down the slide probably 20 times…

and he even got a little “help” from Livi one of those times!  🙂

All of the sliding made Joshua quite electric too!

Maxwell practiced his walking…

and then showed Ellis how to swing!

This was Ellis’s first time swinging and I think she was a fan!

Livi didn’t miss out…she just hung out in the big girl swing.

It was a super fun afternoon….

and all of my favorite people.

Road trip intermission

Taking a short, one day intermission in the road trip photos because yesterday did not go as planned and I didn’t get done what I needed to get done. Frustrating.

What didn’t go as planned you ask? Well, let me tell you. A few weeks ago, Robert and I decided to make the switch from Charter to AT&T UVerse…a switch I’m very excited about given our history with Charter. Yesterday was our installation day and the AT&T guy showed up at 9:30 am yesterday to set up new phone, cable and internet.  They said the process would take about 4 hours.  Yea, that didn’t happen.  My friendly AT&T tech, Corey, finally left my house at 7:45 pm.  My 4 hour installation took 10 hours and 15 minutes. Are you kidding me? The good news is that everything is up and running now. I love having 3 DVR’s and the ability to watch my recorded shows on any tv. Hooray!

In other news, Maxwell is making major progress on walking. Yesterday I watched him go from a seated position to standing and then take about 6 steps in a row!  Whoa!  Go Maxwell Go!

Road Trip! part 1

On Friday of last week, Robert and I loaded up the (awesome!!) new car and headed to Arkansas.  The reason for the trip was a baby shower, but it also gave us a chance to stop in and see the grandparents.  Maxwell did fantastic during the ride.  He slept a lot and enjoyed his favorite Baby Einstein DVD on the new player we bought.  Technology is great.

On our way into Little Rock, we stopped through Searcy to see Maxwell’s Great Granddaddy, the original Max!

We had lots of fun checking out Uncle John’s new law office/airplane hangar.  Quite a combo!  Congrats to John on his first solo flight as well!

Cara was there too and gave Maxwell some super nice birthday gifts that we played with the entire trip!

It was a great visit and I am so happy that Max and Maxwell got to see each other!

Tomorrow, on to Small Stone!

What a fun weekend we had! We went to LR to see my besties and had the best time…despite Maxwell deciding not to sleep in the hotel on Saturday night. goodness gracious. We survived…but just barely.  I took tons of pictures and have stories to tell but first I’ve got unpacking, laundry and sleeping to do. Weekend fun to come later this week.

School!

Maxwell went to his first day of school yesterday and I think he had a ball! I say school but it’s really Mother’s Day Out from 9 to 1:00 2 days a week. His class is kids 6 months to 18 months so he’s right in the middle.

When we got to his room, Maxwell immediately took off and started playing. I don’t think it bothered him one bit that I left!  After the new parent meeting I snuck one last peek into his classroom and this is what I saw…

See him back there? playing with a little friend. Something about this picture just pulls at my heart…my baby is such a big boy. After seeing that he was more than fine, I walked back to my car, called my mom and might have shed a small tear or two.  🙂

Robert went with me to pick him up and we were so glad to see his smiling face as we walked in.  I think he was glad to see us too! The teacher said that he did great and was such a happy guy.  But we already knew that!
