Make it a great weekend!
These frigid temps don’t stop Samantha from the trampoline!

Brrr!
The birthday fun continued on Saturday afternoon when all the girls came back over and we took them roller skating! So fun!

Spencer even got to tag along with a few friends. Let’s just say the girls can skate circles around the boys!!

Happy birthday to this precious almost 10 year old!!

Samantha doesn’t officially turn 10 until next week but we celebrated early this past weekend! Ten years old feels like just the right age for your first “bunkin party” to me! Samantha invited 6 cute friends over to spend the night. I had a little surprise for her and had these tents all set up while she was at school on Friday…

Is that not the cutest?! The girls loved having their own little space all in a circle! Everyone started arriving around 5:00 and they were all just as giggly and happy as they could be!

I took them all out to dinner at Taco Mama where they danced and laughed and yelled the entire time! ha!

After dinner they played Twister…

opened presents…

and had cookie cake!

They then all got into their pjs – Roller Rabbit of course which Samantha had just gotten the day before as an early bday present. π

They then went upstairs to watch a movie…but definitely needed a late night popcorn snack…

and slime time!

I think they were all asleep by midnight (or close to it!) and I didn’t hear them until about 7am the next morning. After a breakfast of mini muffins and Starbucks (of course)…

and a little more slime time…

they all headed home…for now! The party continued that afternoon. More to come tomorrow!
It’s the cold, dreary, days of January which also means…flu season. We always get our flu shots and I think it helps but Maxwell got hit. I knew he was exposed to the flu and started feeling bad and running fever so I took him up the doc and got…a negative flu test. Nope. I knew it was the flu, just like a few years ago when Spencer had it, so I took him to the walk-in clinic first thing the next morning and, sure enough! Flu! We got him Xofluza and he literally felt better in hours and so he only missed a day and a half of school! Hooray!
We had some fun things coming up and reeeeeally didn’t want the others to get the flu and the walk-in doc said she would prescribe Xofluza to them as it can also help prevent you from getting the flu after you’ve been exposed. So, I checked these two out of school, took them to the doc, and got them a prescription! They also got a cookie out of the deal so they didn’t mind at all!

So far, no one else has gotten the flu! Hooray!
Also, Robert and I are 17 years married yesterday and 19 years together. Our first pic together back in 2006…

Cute then, cute now! π
