Happy Monday! We had a really fun weekend – fall festivities are in full swing! Today let’s wrap up Spencey’s birthday celebrations! After his party on Monday, he got to take treats to school on Tuesday. He’s been loving Starbucks cake pops lately so I just got those to send! Perfect and easy!

He was also pretty proud of the new Lego garbage truck that Maxwell “helped” him build! 🙂

A Garbage Truck Birthday!

Spencer got to pick the theme of his party this year and he’s loving garbage trucks right now so that was that!

We did it on a morning that school was out and kept it simple with just balloons, balls and a bounce house in the backyard. They didn’t have a garbage truck bounce house but Spencer saw the Monster Truck one and decided it would be perfect!

Spencer was pretty excited about his blue and “geen” garbage truck party and he really loved his new shirt!

We had so many good friends and family join to celebrate Spencey! It was a beautiful fall morning and perfect for playing outside.

The kids bounced and bounced and bounced and dug in the sand table and threw those big balls all over the yard!

Since the party was in the morning we decided to go with doughnuts instead of a cake. I think those kids liked the doughnuts better than any cake I could have given them!

and got a doughnut for each hand! He quickly ate the icing off of both, handed the remnants to GJ, and took off to keep bouncing! No better way to celebrate being 3!!

It was the perfect party for our perfect blonde-headed, blue eyed, happy little boy! Happy Birthday Spencey!! We love you!

On Sunday, after a trip home from NY and a soccer game for Maxwell, it was time to celebrate Spencer’s 3rd birthday! My parents and Susu were in town so we all headed to, where else? The orange mexaurant! Maxwell said we should call it the green mexaurant that night for the birthday boy! 🙂 We then went home for ba-nilla cake and presents. This little one was loving the attention…

NY NY!

New York! The city so nice, they named it twice! and I got to go spend an awesome weekend in NY with some of my college besties. My friend, Kelly, is getting married in December and so a bunch of us decided to have a little bachelorette weekend in NYC to celebrate her. I loved loved loved getting to spend time with Lyndsay…

It was a PERFECT fall weekend – chilly and a little windy but plenty of sunshine.

I had quite the NY experience – I got coffee with Jason Biggs and Stanley Tucci and even had brunch with Mike Meyers!

We had a super fun night out on the town Saturday that included hilarious masks of Kelly’s groom’s face. Only in NY!

The kiddos weren’t missing me one bit. Why would they when they had dad to take them to the tot lot and buy them cake pops for breakfast!

As I’ve said before, it’s great to get away but the best part is always coming back home.

It’s been a whirlwind few days around here. I was in NYC from Friday to Sunday, got home just in time for Maxwell’s soccer game on Sunday afternoon, and then we had Spencer’s birthday party on Monday morning. Is it nap time yet?! I’m going to get to it all but go a little out of order. First up? Soccer!

It was a beautiful fall day and just chilly enough that we didn’t mind being on the sunny side of the field!

Maxwell did great again – hustled after the ball…

scored a few times and even blocked a goal by the other team.

His most impressive move was when he blocked it from the other team, got the ball going the other way, and managed to get it to Sam who scored a goal! An assist! Mean Green is really starting to put it all together. I mean…these guys look pretty serious about the game, don’t ya think? 🙂

I thoroughly enjoyed the game because I got to leave Spencer and Samantha home with GJ! Samantha was home practicing her cheerleading moves for next week! 🙂
