Poor, happy, oblivious Spence! ha!
Happy Monday! We had my favorite visitors over here last week. Thankfully Birmingham is a great stopping point between Fayetteville, AR and the beaches of 30A which means that, every year, Hannah and her crew get to stop by and say “hi” on their way to vacation! They made it through last year, in 2014, in 2013, and in 2011 (wonder what happened in 2012? I guess Caroline was a tiny baby!). I sure loved having her here!

The visit was even better this year because Laura got to come too!! She, Jason and Reese stopped through and we all got to eat dinner together and hang out. Sadly, this is the only picture I got of the 3 of us together…

I blame the wine. 🙂 We’ll have to do better next year!
Hannah and her crew spent the night in our house (thanks to the finally fixed up guest room!) and we all had some bagels – and played a little Pie in the Face! – in the morning before they hit the road to the beach.

The visit was definitely not long enough but I’m so glad we got to see each other for even just a little bit. Nothing better than my forever friends!!
Other fun bits of our Florida adventures… Seeing Finding Dory and The Secret Life of Pets – with a large popcorn each time! – jumping in the bounce house, dressing up, making a cake, building obstacle courses, eating ice cream, and getting into every single drawer and cabinet we weren’t supposed to get into! (well, that last one might have just been Baby!) It was the MOST fun and we can’t wait to go back!

A few more pics of my adorable trio…

We miss you already Naples!! See you soon!
On the 4th of July we all wore our red, white, and blue!

We kept it pretty low-key but did celebrate with some sparklers and fireworks at home that night…

Spencer loved them – and almost caught his hair on fire! – while Maxwell was a bit more cautious. Not surprising at all.

This picture of them watching the cone explode kind of sums how they each felt about the fireworks!…

ha! Still, we all had fun in the steamy Florida weather…rainbows and all!

Hope you all had a happy 4th too!

Maxwell caught the big one…and it didn’t get away! After Robert got down to Naples he took Maxwell out for an early morning fishing excursion. Apparently the fish weren’t biting that great, but that didn’t matter to Maxwell. He caught this big snook on his first line!

So proud! Funny, as the day went on that fish seemed to get bigger and bigger! They caught plenty of other fish too…

We enjoyed some good snapper for dinner that night. Maxwell even took a (teeny tiny itty bitty) bite of it – gotta eat what you catch!
Meanwhile, GJ and I took these two out for breakfast cake pops…

Special early morning treats for all! 🙂
