Happy hump day!

Make it a great day!
He’s super into baseball now, but football is right at the top too! He and a few of his friends decided to make a “football book” at school. They did this all on their own during free time and I was super impressed. Maxwell did the illustrations and 2 other friends wrote it. Jack was the publisher and convinced his dad to make 40 color copies of the book! ha! Maxwell set up shop one day and sold them in the front yard…

He sold a few copies thanks to kind neighbors and family and friends. Love my little businessman!
What did we do this weekend? I’ll give you one guess! Yep, BASEBALL!
Maxwell had a game Friday night at 7pm (!). It was a late one but it was a FUN one! The Pirates played SO great and pulled out a much needed win! Our coach has been great to watch players develop and give them opportunities on the field as they improve. Maxwell got the chance to play first base on Friday night and he nailed it! He had some great catches and rose to the opportunity! We were so proud of him! He even got the game ball! woohoo! Then, maybe with a little encouragement from Robert, he gave the game ball to Drew who had two great hits and scored for the first time. sweet boy!

Frankly, I should have gotten the game ball. They had no one to do the scoreboard and no one was volunteering so I stepped up and did it – with Spencer and a very cranky Samantha in tow! It was an adventure but I did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself! I did have to get Robert off the field to take Samantha to the bathroom at one point, but, we made it! GOOO Pirates!
Maxwell had another game Saturday at 11:30 and unfortunately, the Pirates just didn’t have it in them. They played a good game but lost. Oh well! I had to miss that game because Spencer had a T-ball game at the same time. I was happy to be watching my little Red Sox player slam the ball and hustle!

Samantha thankfully had a friend in the stands and was happy as could be making important calls from the ballpark!

It was a beautiful spring day and after we met up from both games, we decided a little treat was in order!

Happy to celebrate my great ball players and their super spectator sister! Β π
Sunday – church…

Monday – baseball and the park…

Tuesday – baseball and boy scouts! Maxwell moved up from Tiger Scout to Wolf! hoooooowl!

Wednesday – a day off! So what did Maxwell convince Robert to do when he got home from work? Take him to the field to play baseball of course!
Thursday – flag football and allergy shots…

And baseball!

Friday – more baseball! 7pm game tonight, baseball and t-ball tomorrow, and more baseball on Sunday!
Have a great weekend!
Spencer came home from school two weeks ago and found his globe on his mailbox…

that means kindergarten is not that far away! We had orientation on Tuesday and while Spencer might have been the teeny, tiniest bit nervous, he was way more excited and curious than anything.

He had a great time in the classroom, saw some familiar faces, and got a cookie and a book at the end! Can’t beat that! I’ll also say, being a second time kindergarten mom is way better than being a first time kindergarten mom! All of the info they gave us was old hat and that sure was nice.
I may not be ready for him to head to kindergarten but he’s already running out the door. Watch out MBE, here comes Spencey!!

Maxwell’s kindergarten orientation here.
