The Saturday before Christmas we were all dressed up – with someplace to go!
Some friends of ours invited us to one of the deb balls in town and it was a fun excuse to get fancy and go out for the night. We enjoyed seeing all the decorations at MB Club where we had dinner…
and all the decorations at Birmingham Country Club where the ball was!
A fun and fancy night on the town with friends!

Like the past few years, Gingerbread Elf came to visit on the 1st of December. He kept a watch over the kids, gave good reports to Santa, and even brought a few goodies! Some of his antics…
He brought ornaments for everyone! A ball and glove for Maxwell, a dinosaur for Spencer, a ballerina for Samantha, a candy house for me, and a Frosty for Robert!
He also brought personalized mugs with hot chocolate for the kids…
Yum!
He also brought bath bombs! Gingerbread is the best. Until next year, Gingerbread…

After having Samantha’s friends over in the morning, we were invaded by boys in the afternoon! Maxwell and Spencer each got to have a few friends over. We did the party right after the last day of school and they were pumped up!!
The boys were not quite as careful with their decorations! and they also ate a lot more of their cookies than the girls did! ha!
After about 25 minutes, all of the boys had finished and gone to play – all except for Maxwell and Max! They both sat there and diligently finished their cookies while chatting away! Love them.
It was a fun day and I’m so glad I made the time to let these awesome kids have some Christmas fun with their friends!!
Like in 2017 and 2016, I let the kids invite some friends over for a little Christmas cookie decorating party!
Samantha had two friends over in the morning and they were just about the cutest and sweetest little cookie decorators I had ever seen!
They were so quiet and careful with their cookies. Well, Samantha was at first but then she really got into the sprinkles!
