Last week we got to see one of our very favorites…Mrs. Susan!! The kids were surprised after school on Friday when she stopped by and they sure were happy to see her!

Maxwell has been wanting a fade for a while and our girl at the salon would just never cut it short enough. I finally just took him to the barbershop and let them shave away!

He loves it and I think its looks great. He also looks like he’s ready to enlist but that’s ok! If he’s happy, I’m happy!
He did play probably the best basketball game of his career that night so it must have been the hair! Even the ref at Spencer’s game said “Whoa! Maxwell got himself a fade!” 🙂 It’s a hit all around.

Twinkies!
Samantha and I dressed as Christmas twinkies last year and I couldn’t resist doing it again! Our greens are a little different but I’d say it’s close enough!

gingerbread houses
After doing our candy house on Saturday, we also got to go decorate gingerbread houses at the club on Sunday! Fun all around!
I’d say they all did a great job…
and all wanted to eat them when we got home! ha!
They quickly learned that this type of gingerbread is pretty hard and crunchy and not great for eating. I’m thinking we need to make some gingerbread cookies soon! Lots of holiday fun!!
Candy House
My very favorite Christmas tradition – the candy house! Previous candy houses here – 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012.
I’m not sure who looks forward to doing it more, the kids or me! But, for the first time, I stepped away and let the kids really do it all. I helped spread some icing and finished off one side when they lost steam, but I did my best not to intervene and let them use their creativity! Not gonna lie, it was hard…very hard! But, they did not disappoint!!
