The long bob is back!
She could not look cuter!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
Happy Anniversary, Robert! 18 years of fun…
I love you and our happy life. No place I’d rather be today than with you…even if it is taking you to get a colonoscopy. I’d say that’s true love and a good example of 18 years of marriage! ha! So thankful I have you by my side for the fun – and not so fun – stuff. Happy Anniversary!
We hit the slopes bright and early on Saturday for another fun, full, and COLD day of skiing!
It doesn’t matter how cold you are when the views are this good! Deer Valley really is the best skiing.
These girls did awesome day 2. Confidence was higher and the other two took on some more challenging blue run with no problems. They all loved Bucky’s Front Yard!
The covered gondola ride was nice!
I sure did love being out there with this little girl – she’s so athletic and fearless and sweet and I just can’t believe how lucky I am that she’s mine.
That night we went out in Park City for sushi and it was really good!
We ended the night with some charades type game that had the girls laughing…church van! pickle! hoot! hot chocolate!
We left bright and early Sunday morning and had an easy travel day back.
Thankful for these sweet girls, their awesome parents, and the incredible opportunity to adventure together!
Wish it could be an annual event!
Friday morning we woke up ready to get bundled up and hit the slopes! Hard not to be excited when this is your morning view…
Thankfully the sun was shining because the temps were bitter cold! I think the high was 25 and it was colder than that on the top of the mountain.
Samantha got her ski legs back right away and was zooming down the mountain right away. No surprise! The other girls were a bit more beginner but they kept up just fine…
By mid-morning the cold had gotten to Samantha’s toes and she was miserable and teary. We stopped for hot chocolate and some toe warmers. As I’m kneeling down in all my ski gear to try and get her boots off and toe warmers on, she managed to knock over her hot chocolate and it spilled….all over me. All over me and my white ski pants and into her boot. Good times. But, we got it all cleaned up, wiped away some tears (hers not mine), and got on with our day!
Samantha can get down the mountain fast so there was a lot of waiting at the bottom for her friends to make it down…she preferred to wait like this! h a!
We then stopped at the yurt at the Stein Erickson for lunch and it was just right! Could these girls be any cuter??!!
Then it was back for some more skiing….
until it was hot tub time!
when these crazy girls also did this! Brrrr!
That night the girls stayed in with mexican food while the parents went to eat at the Montage. A top day start to finish!!
We had the absolute most fun on Samantha’s ski trip! We flew out to Deer Valley bright and early Thursday morning. These cute girls were matching and excited!
Samantha and I were also excited to get upgraded to First Class…for the ATL leg anyway.
Utah hadn’t gotten a ton of snow so far this season so we were glad to see it snowing hard when we arrived!
The drive from Park City to Deer Valley was easy – only about 45 minutes – and we were glad to have our big church van to get us there! The girls wasted no time getting in the hot tub!
We then got all our gear…
and the girls took to the mini slope right outside the house.
That night it was matching pjs, pizza, and football!
A great start!
