Celebrating!
We celebrated Robert on Saturday with a big Bama win over Vandy! I’m proud of my Vanderbilt degree but in football I say Roll Tide Roll! Maxwell snagged an invite to the game…
while the rest of us watched it at home and then we all headed to Hot & Hot for a fantastic birthday dinner!

We then went home for cake and presents!

Birmingham Bash
Samantha played in the Birmingham Bash soccer tournament with the black team last weekend and they dominated! They won all three of their games and got to play in the championship game! Samantha was a total star and scored LOTS of goals all weekend. Considering it felt like we were all standing on the surface of the sun on that turf, I was especially proud of how hard she hustled and how hard she played. Nothing slows her down!
I very sadly had to miss the championship game because I had to be at the pickleball tournament but Robert was giving me updates. At halftime I got “we’re down 0-1. girls are tired”…nooo! As soon as the second half started through I got “Samantha scored! 1-1!” and not two minutes later “Samantha scored again!” Woohoo! AFC won 2-1 and took home the gold in their bracket!
Awesome team win for a great group of soccer stars! Go AFC!

Regular season games have been in full swing all fall and Samantha has played mostly on the black team but also on the white team some. She plays striker and mid and is an excellent ball handler and scorer!
Lots of hustle, lots of fun!
