Maxwell seems to always have plans these days, but we can still get these two out to dinner with us on a weekend night every once in a while!
We made it to Bottega and I’m not sure which was better – the food or the company? All A+++!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
For two of the games this season I had a professional photographer take picstures and he got some great shots of Spencer!
This was an awesome pass breakup by 38!
Get in there Spence!
Sideline break!
Spencer holding on to that one foot to take him down!
Go Spence go! The photographer also came to the game where Spencer was captain. Love these shots!
He also got some fantastic action shots of my lock down corner!
When he grabs on, he’s not letting go!
Look at him in the bottom of that pile!
Spencer Brown…
with the tackle!
Halftime break!
Back at it!
Love this play by play…
I love this kid.
What a season! So proud of Spencer and the entire 7th grade Spartan team. Go Spartans go!
Spencer’s football season wrapped up two weeks ago and what an awesome season it was! He worked so hard and earned a starting spot on that team and proved himself to be the first string cornerback over and over again. I was so proud of his hard work and persistance! Practices started all the way back in June in the heat…
and continued every afternoon once school started. At first Spencer worked out at the quarterback position but then it became evident that another boy had that positioned locked up so he pivoted, gave DB a try, and found the perfect spot for him – just like his big brother! He was an aggressive and reliable cornerback all season long. He made incredible tackles and played his position so well! Let’s go 38!
The season started with the Spartan Day scrimmage…
and continued through 8 or so games. The team did well but was also plagued by injuries – they lost their quarterback after game 3 and several other players were sidelined by halfway through the season. If they had been able to keep everyone in the game, I think they really could have had a winning season.
Spencer also got to be captain for a game…
Of course Spencer’s cheering section was there as much as they could be…
and we all enjoyed hanging with friends and going to Waldo’s for dinner after the games a lot! ha!
We were all sad to see it end but Spencer had a great last game including a fumble recovery! Woohoo!
What fun watching #38 shine! GSG!
Samantha got to make her second Super Bowl appearance to cheer! First for the Jets in 2022 and now for the Vikings!
Thankfully the football moms handled everything and all I had to do was bring cookies for after the game!
The setup was great and the girls were excited!
It had been raining all day but thankfully there was a break in the weather for the 4:00 game! It was dreary, cold, and wet but not raining!
The girls nailed their halftime performance with jumps, a cheer and tumbling. Samantha threw her tuck like she’s been doing all season! The Vikings nailed the game too and won! Super Bowl champs!
I just love to watch her do what she loves. So proud of my little cheerleader!!
Go Vikings! Go Samantha!
Samantha did rec cheer again and had such a fun season! I was the cheer mom again and we had the cutest group of cheerleaders. They really tried to up the program this year and had Sunday practices with varsity cheerleaders teaching the girls cheer. The majority of girls on our squad are deep in cheer working toward 7th grade tryouts so they are basically experts and killed it at their halftime show each week!
Wearing her uniform to school for Spartan Day!
Samantha cheered for the 5th grade Vikings so got to cheer for lots of boys in her grade which made it even better. Ready for the first game!
Keeping them focused on the sideline was sometimes a challenge (ha!) but they sure were enthusiastic and always cute!!
We adopted Jane as our “water girl” and she came to every game!
Look at this professional cheerleader! Love her so much.
We also picked up a little sister of a boy on the Vikings. π
The Vikings had a great season and sailed through the playoffs. I’m sure it was because of the awesome run-through I made and the cool player gifts the girls handed out…
Go Vikings!
Super Bowl bound!!
