After I dropped Samantha off at camp on Saturday morning, Robert decided to get some Braves tickets and drive to Atlanta with the boys to meet up for some baseball! It worked out great and we were all happy to have something fun to do!

When we first got to our seats we were all very pleased with our view and our shade!!

Turns out we were in the wrong seats, ha! Our actual seats had an even better view…but we were also in full sun! HOT!

The Braves couldn’t pull out a win against the Phillies but we did see the Braves hit one over the fence for a home run! Their only run!

Camp Greystone

School got out on Wednesday, we packed her trunk on Thursday, and hit the road Friday to head to Camp Greystone! The boys stayed behind while Samantha and I made the drive to North Carolina for camp.

We spent the night in Asheville and went to dinner with some of her friends also heading to camp.

We all grabbed breakfast the next morning before caravanning to Greystone. I’m so glad we met up with friends. These girls were so excited and not nervous at all!

They had everything so organized and efficient! I gave her a final big hug and off she went!

I’m missing her already but know she’s having the best time!!

Last Day!

School’s out for summer!! Last day of school was Wednesday 5/24! Maxwell’s last day was the day before that for graduation so it was just these two heading out the door that morning…

After graduation Maxwell and I with a group of his friends went to Paramount for lunch. Burgers, fries and video games! Best celebration of 6th grade ever!

Maxwell is officially an elementary school graduate! I’m so proud of Maxwell. He excelled at MBE and made the most of his 7 years there. Straight As, exemplary behavior, involved in all kinds of activities – he’s an all around great kid! Graduation was a special day and he looked extra sharp in his new suit!

Graduation was in the auditorium which worked out well because it was a rainy morning. We ended up being able to snag seats for Spencer and Samantha too so they got to come watch.

They gave out a few awards during graduation…but no academic awards. I have thoughts on that which I’m sharing with the principal! In my book, Maxwell got the STEM Robotics award and the All A Honor Roll! I’m also going to give him the “kind, cool kid” award! 🙂

After getting their diploma, the graduates stood alongside the wall and Maxwell ended up standing right beside me and Robert. We loved this! Maxwell did not. ha!
