First day!

Back to school! Yesterday was the first day of school and it all went great. Maxwell had to wear his football jersey but was pretty excited about it all…and maybe a little nervous about the logistics of the day and finding his way around the Junior High.

Ready for school!

I wish summer wouldn’t end but it’s back to school today! We went up to the Junior High on Tuesday and got Maxwell’s locker all set up…

He’s ready for a new adventure in 7th grade!

Yesterday we met our teachers in elementary and these two had fresh haircuts for it!

It was a rainy afternoon but that didn’t stop us…

we went to Samantha’s classes first and met her homeroom teacher, Ms. Symons…

They are both new to the school and seem wonderful! Samantha is excited to be back in class with her buddy again…

It’s going to be a great year in 3rd grade!

We then met all of the 5th grade teachers…and didn’t get a picture with a single one! After a little switcheroo, Spencer is very happy to be in Mr. Andrews class with many of his best friends! Spencer was really happy to see his best bud in the hallway…

and then got surrounded by plenty of girls…ha!

It is definitely going to be a fantastic year in 5th grade!

Back to school, back to routine!

More Falling Creek

On pickup day I was the first parent to get to his cabin and I think this kid was really, really happy to see me. I know I was really, really happy to see him!

We waved goodbye to Cabin 26 and headed down the hill…

Spencer may not be the ultimate camp kid but he had a fun time and made the most of it and I’m so proud of him! Now it’s time for back to school!

Falling Creek

August 7, 2023

On Friday I picked Spencer up from two week camp at Falling Creek! He had a really good time…not a great time…but a really good time. This year he had a good buddy from home in his cabin, Harrison, and also a friend from camp last year, James. He played lots of basketball, made some cool things in blacksmithing and pottery, and even took up pickleball! He had a fun cabin with all really chill boys and excellent counselors! All around a big win!! He didn’t like the food and he got a little bored by the end of the two weeks but he’s still glad he went.
