Maxwell was really living his best life at camp. While he still went on some paddling trips, he stayed at camp more this year than last year and I got the photos to prove it!
Don’t ask…because I don’t know! ha!
Still lots more pics to come!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
Maxwell was back for his 7th and final summer at Falling Creek Camp. He was actually a camper for only six years because the covid summer camp was cancelled – but we did family camp that summer so I’m going to count it! I wsan’t sure if he’d want to go back again this year but he had zero hesitation and was more excited than I’ve ever seen him. I think the appeal of being the oldest campers there was big!
Obligatory Traveler’s Rest photo the night before drop off…
I would say I’m going to miss my nights in the Hampton Inn at Traveler’s Rest but, don’t worry, I still get to stay there for Greystone!
Maxwell couldn’t wait to get to camp the next morning. When I got the photos back from drop off I had to compare to last year because he has really grown!
Maxwell knew almost all of the boys in his cabin – it’s all of his friends that have been coming for years together. They all hit the ground running and clearly had fun with the photographers the entire session. I think I got the best pictures yet and it made me so happy!! These boys are too cute and fun.
We got this pic the first day or so…
and my friend knew it looked familiar and sent this…
and then I wanted to cry. Sweet friends from their first year at camp to their last. As she said, “Time flies, things change yet remain the same…friendships, a dirty face, a buzz cut and a BIG smile. So Grateful for FCC.”
Lots more camp pics to come!
In between all the sports there’s plenty of fun and new friends at camp!
They also had a dance with a girl’s camp…
and went to the Braves game on the 4th of July!
We picked him up on the 5th and I was so happy to hug on this kid!
I was super excited to hear that the LSU Tigers won their division and was EXTRA proud when Spencer won the sportsmanship award for his team!! Go Spence!!
Mostly I was just happy to have my whole crew back together again for the first time in 5 weeks!
We then grabbed lunch with his bestie…even after two weeks they still hadn’t had enough of each other!
A great experience all around for a great kid! Thanks McCallie!
3 days after he got home from Pigeon Forge, Spencer headed off to sports camp at McCallie! This was his second year there and he was excited to have two of his best friends going with him!
There was a good crew of Mountain Brook boys there.
Spencer’s age was in the SEC this year and his team was LSU. Go Tigers!
They hit the ground running and started competing every day!
Right up his alley! More tomorrow!
