Wrestling
As soon as football ended, Maxwell – and a bunch of his buddies – signed up for wrestling. We didn’t quite know what we were getting into but learned a lot. Practices were every day after school and meets were looooong. It ended up not being Maxwell’s thing – but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t good at it! He won several times in his weight class and the coach really encouraged him to sign up again next year. I don’t think that’s going to happen but it was good to give it a try! swing dancing
Maxwell did a swing dancing class with other 7th graders a few weeks ago. It was two nights and the parents got to come up and watch at the end of the second night. Maxwell did great!

More celebrating
After all the birthday fun on Saturday, we did even more celebrating on Sunday when Samantha finally got to open her family presents…
They were all a hit, especially the 2001 “vintage” Barbie van, complete with a Discman and cd’s!
We then had a fun dinner out at Samantha’s choice, Bricktops!
I love celebrating this 9 year old!
