Injuries
On top of the tonsillectomy this week, we’ve had more injuries than I care to deal with recently! About two weeks ago, Maxwell was covering 2nd base when the runner slid into the base and took him out at the knee. Ouch. He was really hurt and couldn’t walk. It happened on a Saturday and I got him into Andrews on Monday afternoon. He got x-rays and checked out by Dr. Ortega and thankfully it was just a deep contusion – a bone bruise.
It’s still giving him some pain but so thankful there were no ligaments damaged!
Then last weekend, Spencer was just shooting hoops during halftime of the 5th grade rec game and somehow came down wrong, fell, and hit his head on the court. He ended up majorly tweaking his neck and literally could not hold it straight. After a lot of back and forth, I ultimately took him to the ER at Children’s to get checked out.
They did X-rays and thankfully it was just a muscle issue. They sent us home with some valium and peace of mind! He’s still a bit crooked but recovering.
I’d like an injury free week please!
Valentine’s Day
First, yesterday went well and Samantha’s big yucky tonsils – and adenoids! – are gone! She’s pitiful but recovering. I think a day full of hearts and love – and maybe some ice cream too! – will make her feel better!
She took her Valentines to school on Monday and they were Taylor Swift themed, of course!
Spencer took the same Valentine he and Maxwell have taken the past few years – why mess with success?!

OOTD
Time for another edition of Samantha’s OOTD! Now, winter isn’t the best for showing the OOTD because we take the pics before walking out the door which means we just get a lot of coat pics..but that’s ok because she has cute coats!

Also, say a prayer for this little girl because this morning she’s finally getting her “big yucky tonsils” removed! I know we’ll all be glad when it’s over.
