The Jets made it to the Super Bowl so it was up to the cheerleaders to make some spirit happen! Which means it was up to the cheer moms! ha! I put together and delivered porch surprises for all of the players….
and then somehow also ended making the giant run-through for the game. I can’t say I was wanting to do this but, let’s get serious, I love this kind of stuff and actually had a lot of fun making the sign…
I had good helpers too! GJ was my consultant behind the scenes and Maxwell worked on the football and it looked perfect.
I think it turned out pretty darn good! We learned a lot about making a run-through. Things to remember: the poles are 9 feet, the sign was 12 feet wide, we taped the sign to the poles, rolled it up and then cut tiny holes reinforced by tape and tied string around the poles to hold it. We ended up adding more ribbon to the poles out at the field to use as supports on either side to keep the top taught. We also put some clear tape along the back of the top to give it stability.
It looked even better out on the field behind these cute cheerleaders!!
We were all excited for the big game!
Our run-through set up was pretty awesome! Go Jets!
A little smoke and then…
just like that all of my hard work was ripped to shreds! ha!
The girls cheered their hearts out the whole game. Check out this halftime show! They took the Jets to a big victory!! Super Bowl champs!
After the game the players gave flowers to the girls! 🙂
Bringing all that cheer and spirit is exhausting.
I sure do love watching this little girl do anything that makes her smile like this!
Go Jets Go!
The girls did a great job and pulled their team through!
She’s got spirit – yes she does!
Way to go Samantha. We’re YOUR biggest cheerleaders!
