We went on a few more adventures than usual in Naples this trip! Fun all around! The boys went fishing…

Samantha and Robert went on a wave runner…

and the kids and I went parasailing!! Woohoo!

Robert opted out which meant I got to go twice since the two boys weren’t heavy enough on their own. There was a big rock paper scissors battle for which boy got to go twice and Spencer won out. That ended up being the best thing though – once Maxwell got up he decided once was enough! It was really, really cool but it definitely took your breath away at first when you went up. We were high!!

Dip!

Up we go with Maxwell!

Maxwell had time to check his watch while sailing through the sky! ha!

While Samantha waited in the boat, she got to be captain!

Down we go…

and dip!

So great that the kids are getting old enough to enjoy a little more adventure on our trips!!
While in Naples sitting on the beach, Samantha’s suuuuuper loose front tooth finally came out!! It was so loose it came out while she was drinking a smoothie! ha!

She was pretty happy!!

Later in the week, Maxwell also lost a tooth!

and Samantha lost another one on the bottom!!

What a trip – lots of fun and 3 teeth down!
Back in October, I took a weekend trip over to my favorite city to see one of my favorite friends! I was supposed to see all of my college friends for our 20th (!!) college reunion but Vanderbilt bafflingly cancelled all reunion festivities because of Covid. Huh? Everything would have been outside and we’re all vaccinated so that didn’t make sense to me. I didn’t need an official reunion to hang out in Nash-vegas though. All I needed was Lyndsay!
I stayed at The Graduate which was super cool and very Dolly! I loved it obviously!

The first night we had sushi and then found our way to the hidden karaoke bar in the hotel. If only there had been music scouts in that audience…we tore up the stage with some preeetttty spot on renditions of Shania’s “Who’s Bed Have Your Boots Been Under” and then got down to a little “Boot Scootin Boogie” and finished it off with “Islands in the Stream” We had to get some Dolly in!! It was basically the most fun night ever.

The next day we had lunch at Restoration Hardware and walked around the insane store for at least an hour.

We also made an appearance at her nephew’s 5th birthday party where I got to see all of her family.

That night, we hooked up with Allie and Lynlee and headed to downtown Nashville. Drinks at Bourbon Steak were great with incredible views of the ever growing Nashville downtown landscape.

We had dinner plans at Justin Timberlake’s new restaurant but got down there and legit felt like we were in the middle of the biggest Times Square tourist trap ever so bailed and walked over to The Palm and had a great dinner at the bar.

I headed back Sunday morning exhausted and happy from a weekend in one of my fave places with one of my fave people. Robert held down the fort back at home and Samantha even did her own ponytail for her soccer game! Sweet girl.

A great weekend for all!

So thankful for Vanderbilt and the friendships made! Especially this one!
The weekend after Highlands the kids and I were back on the road for a quick visit to Naples for the 4th! Robert stayed home and played lots of golf. Everyone was happy! I didn’t take many pics but we did all of our favorite things. Pool and beach…

Made cookies…

Can you tell which one Maxwell made for himself?! ha!

We did have a little excitement – experimenting with Coke and Mentos and fun with fireworks!

A great 4th and a great trip to Naples as always!
