After school was cancelled on Tuesday, I really thought they would at least be delayed on Wednesday so we decided to change our flights yet again and stick around Naples until Thursday! It ended up being a full day of school Wednesday and Thursday but the kids didn’t mind playing hooky…especially since they go to play hooky at the beach!

My beach baby…

By Thursday afternoon we knew we had to head back home. We said goodbye to our favorites…

and took the express route home!

A short trip that turned into a long trip and we can’t wait to go back!

We were supposed to fly back to Birmingham on Monday but were watching the weather because they were predicting some ice. We ended up rescheduling our flights to Wednesday and definitely made the right call. School was cancelled for Tuesday and Robert woke up to this on Tuesday morning!

The kids were a little sad to be missing the “snow” but we headed to the beach and they seemed to forget about all of that wintry mix pretty quickly!

It was a little windy a few of the days but that just made it more fun!

We also made cookies, of course!

And went to Skillets…where Spencer drank syrup. Goodness.

And went to the mattress store. Big fun!

And mainly just enjoyed getting to hang with our favorite person!

Love it! Our vacation wasn’t over yet though…more to come!

After our Christmas trip was cancelled I wasn’t sure when we were going to get down to Naples again. Then GJ and Daddo were able to get both shots of their vaccine and the kids had a 4 day weekend so we decided to hop a plane and head on down! Double masked of course!

We got to move into the new Villa with GJ and Daddo and all stay in the new house. So fun! Samantha enjoyed her first night there in one of my favorite old nightgowns…

We even met GJ and Daddo’s new pet! OMG!!

Of course we fully enjoyed the perfect weather at the beach!

Another day, another trip to the beach!
