Geaux Saints

November 14, 2022

Spencer had another fantastic season of tackle football on the Saints! He had his same coaches as last year – which I think is a huge compliment because that means they picked him in the draft again! He played QB all season and had good opportunities to hand off the ball, make some passes, and also run the ball! He had several TDs and lots and lots of great plays. He really honed his leadership skills on this team and I could not be more proud of him.

With Coach T!

The team ended the season tied for second place with 5 wins and 2 losses. They made it to the second round of playoffs but lost to the Vikings. Our big center got hurt the first play of the game and the Saints just couldn’t overcome it. No Super Bowl appearance this year but still a fantastic season for an awesome team!

I sure do love to watch #7 play!

At the team party, Spencer got the Bobby Hebert Mr. Quarterback Award. Well deserved!

A fantastic season with a great group of kids. I’m so proud of how Spencer played and how he handled himself all season. I see more football in his future!!

Cheering at the Super Bowl

November 10, 2022

The Jets made it to the Super Bowl so it was up to the cheerleaders to make some spirit happen! Which means it was up to the cheer moms! ha! I put together and delivered porch surprises for all of the players….

cheer

and then somehow also ended making the giant run-through for the game. I can’t say I was wanting to do this but, let’s get serious, I love this kind of stuff and actually had a lot of fun making the sign…

sign

I had good helpers too! GJ was my consultant behind the scenes and Maxwell worked on the football and it looked perfect.

sign

I think it turned out pretty darn good! We learned a lot about making a run-through. Things to remember: the poles are 9 feet, the sign was 12 feet wide, we taped the sign to the poles, rolled it up and then cut tiny holes reinforced by tape and tied string around the poles to hold it. We ended up adding more ribbon to the poles out at the field to use as supports on either side to keep the top taught. We also put some clear tape along the back of the top to give it stability.

cheer

It looked even better out on the field behind these cute cheerleaders!!

We were all excited for the big game!

Our run-through set up was pretty awesome! Go Jets!

The girls cheered their hearts out the whole game. Check out this halftime show! They took the Jets to a big victory!! Super Bowl champs!

After the game the players gave flowers to the girls! Β πŸ™‚

Bringing all that cheer and spirit is exhausting.

I sure do love watching this little girl do anything that makes her smile like this!

Cheerleader

November 9, 2022

Samantha’s cheer season started strong, continued strong, and ended strong! She cheered for the 3rd grade Jets and they were undefeated! She had so much fun cheering at all of the games and her squad got pretty coordinated with their cheers too!
