Just like her brothers, Samantha has always loved having a paci. We cut the paci off of her Wubanubs a while ago but she still had a few lingering pacis in her bed. Over the past few months we got that down to one single paci – Purple Paci. Yep, that was it’s proper name. Samantha loved it and whenever BaaBaa was in her hand, Purple Paci was in her mouth!
She got to keep her paci much longer than Maxwell or Spencer. Third child you know! We got rid of Maxwell’s paci when he was 1 year and 6 months old and we ditched Spencer’s when he was 1 year and 10 months old. Samantha is now 2 years and 8 months so she got almost a full extra year of paci fun! We finally decided the best way to get rid of it was bribery…of course. We told her that if she mailed her paci to “the babies” that needed it more than her now that she was a big girl, then she would get an Anna dress. The desire to look like Anna was pretty strong and she finally agreed! That night she gave it one last good suck…
and then we stuck it in an envelope to mail to “the babies!” She then got her awesome new Anna dress and she was pretty excited!!

It’s been a very easy transition. Every once in a while she’ll ask for Purple Paci but I really think that’s just for dramatic effect! ha! There’s never been any crying for it or anything. She’s handled it like a champ and I’m so proud! Go Samantha! RIP Purple Paci.

Spencer had his first soccer game of the season on Sunday! Robert is the coach again and they decided to be the Tornadoes! I thought the Hurricanes would have been more appropriate but…Tornadoes it is! 🙂

and had his two best cheerleaders there as well!
Spencer was super excited about playing this season again. He got all warmed up…
and hustled so hard during the game! He had at least two goals and honestly played great!
Samantha also did great actually sitting in her chair the entire time and not running on the field! Obviously, snacks helped. Hooray!
She kept giving Spence and the other players an encouraging thumbs up!
Maxwell is loving Spencer’s new team because Robby is on it – which means Max is there to play with Maxwell! These guys were over playing football for the whole soccer game!
He did finally come back to watch the very end of the game. My three cuties on the sideline…
