Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
to look a lot like Christmas!

We’ve even taken Santa around with us for the day!

Ho Ho Ho!
The afternoon we got back from Highlands, we got our Christmas tree! With a late Thanksgiving this year, there was no time to spare. We all picked out the very best one…

and all of my helpers got it decorated in no time!

It’s not nearly as big as our tree last year but it was much easier to decorate and looks just perfect! How lovely are it’s branches!
After ice skating and Santa we met up with our friends and hiked Satulah by their house. The boys loved getting to see Henry and Samantha and Evelyn were fast friends as always.

On Saturday we hiked Sunset Rock despite the slightly drizzly weather. It was worth it!

That afternoon we played a game of Clue which was interesting with a 4, 7 and 9 year old!

We also watched the Iron Bowl but that didn’t quite go our way. There’s always next year. Roll Tide!!
A huge thank you, as always, to Lulu and Granddaddy for hosting us. We sure do love Thanksgiving in the mountains!
Taking a time out on the Highlands pictures to wish this guy a very happy birthday!!

We love you Daddo and can’t wait for you to get to Birmingham to celebrate Christmas!!
One of the kid’s favorite things from last year in Highlands was ice skating so we had to do it again! Robert sat out this year due to a bum foot but I took to the ice with my 3 skaters and they did great. It was much warmer than it was last year so much more pleasant!

After skating we had to make a stop to see the big man himself! Spencer asked for a journal, Samantha asked for LOLs and Poopsie Slime Surprise dolls, and Maxwell said he wasn’t sure yet. ha! He better think of something quick!

Love these traditions in the mountains!
