Biography
Spencer got to give his 3rd grade biography presentation last week and nailed it as Derek Jeter! Maxwell was Bill Gates when he was in 3rd grade but his presentation was on video thanks to covid. We found a Yankees jersey for Spencer to wear (very last minute I might add!) and he looked the part!
He spoke slowly and clearly and had an excellent speech prepared! Great job Derek!
So proud of Spencer!
School stuff
Last weekend we had Lancers on the Lawn up at the school and it was a pretty spring evening to hang out!
Maxwell completed the 5th grade wildflower project and, no surprise, he got 100%! He did a fantastic job making his flower completely by himself. I didn’t help one bit!
Looks like a real yellow wood sorrel to me!
Spencer got to go on a fun field trip to Cook Museum!
He even got to dissect an owl pellet. Um…eww.
First grade is doing their ABC countdown to the last day of school. Last week was hat day!
Yesterday was jersey day…and crazy sock day for Spencer!

Track Meet
Last week the Mountain Brook City School Foundation held a fundraiser track meet for grades 3 through 6. Maxwell decided not to do it but Spencer was game! He did the long jump, 400M dash, 100M dash, and a relay. He did fantastic!
He came in 13th out of 46 in the long jump, 26 out of 60 on the 400, and 15 out of 67 on the 100M dash! Wow!! His relay team came in 2nd in their heat! Pretty impressive!
It was a beautiful night at the track and a fun night with buddies! Go MBE!
