Happy Monday! This past weekend we headed to Montgomery for Robert’s 20th High School reunion. Robert got to see some old friends, we both did a little birthday celebrating, and we all got to meet the newest member of the family! Robert’s sister, Mary Beth, had her baby on September 27th so we got to spend some time watching football with 6 day old Margaret Louisa Walls. What a treat!

The boys thought she was pretty neat.

She kept making little noises and Spencey said, “Baby Mah-get’s squeaking!” Β π

Baby Mantha wasn’t too pleased when I was holding Margaret. Jealous much?

We’re so glad she’s here safe and sound and happy to have another girl in the family born 8 months to the day after Samantha!

We also had some cake to celebrate 37 and 39! woohoo!

For the reunion, Robert and I stopped by the high school football game on Friday night. It was pretty cold with drizzly rain but still fun for Robert to see familiar faces and allow us both to wax nostalgic about the good ole days of Friday night lights, football, and cheerleading! An after party at Francie’s provided plenty of stories of days gone by and maybe even an embarrassing yet hilarious picture or two. On Saturday we went to the cocktail party at the school and enjoyed visiting with everyone.

It really was a good weekend with several fun things packed in. You know…20 years out of high school (well, 18 for me!) sure doesn’t look or feel as old as I used to think it would. Cheers!
Today is the first day of Fall! My favorite season! Even though this past weekend was pretty hot again, the temps have cooled back down just a bit and it’s so nice. Perfect for a sunset swing on the porch…

Happy fall and happy Wednesday!
We headed down to Naples for a little vacation over the 4th of July. It was HOT HOT HOT and FUN FUN FUN with plenty of beach and pool time! The trip down was, thankfully, uneventful and I was glad to actually have Robert flying with us for this trip!

Our days were spent playing at the beach, swimming in the pool and lounging around the house! Just perfect. These boys LOVED the beach – they dug in the sand, built castles, swam in the ocean, collected shells, got buried….they couldn’t get enough.

Spencer’s belly in the top left pic! π We even got to see several dolphins swimming in the ocean!

It was super hot while we were down there but, luckily, our guys are all about the morning beach trip! We would hit up the beach around 9:00 after Samantha went down for her nap, play for an hour or two and then be back home in time for lunch…and in time to miss the hottest part of the day!

Love my little beach bums!

More Naples to come tomorrow!
You didn’t think I would forget the very best DAD in all the world on Father’s Day, did you? No way! I just thought he deserved his very own post! π Robert, thanks for being Dad around here!
