Aren’t we lucky to have this sweet Granddaddy in Arkansas…
This awesome Granddaddy in Alabama….
and this unbeatable Daddo in Florida…
How did we get so lucky?
Considering we get this guy to top it off…
I’d say we hit the jackpot!
Happy Father’s Day to our favorites!! We love you!
On Sunday morning, we all got up and were at the Georgia Aquarium by 9am! I’m so glad we got there right when it opened because it wasn’t too crowded yet and we were able to see the whale sharks and penguins without too big of a crowd around us…
We then went to see the Sea Lion show and the Dolphin show. Both were great – but we had to wait way too long for them! We got in line for the Sea Lion show at 10:00 and it started at 10:30. When that was over, we went straight to the Dolphin show and were in our seats by 10:50 but the show didn’t start until 11:30! It was THAT crowded that we had to go super early – but trying to entertain/wrangle Samantha in a seat for that long was not exactly fun. After the show, we made one last stop to see the jelly fish and the eels and then we hit the road back to Birmingham.
Overall it was a great trip. I’m not dying to go back to the aquarium anytime soon but I’m glad we went. Mostly, I’m so glad this crew got to hang out!
A fun weekend in Atlanta!
Maxwell’s preschool graduation was on Thursday of last week and it was as sweet as could be! He was all dressed up for the day and looking sharp!
He had a whole host of people there to watch him graduate – GJ, Susan, Lulu, Granddaddy, and obviously me and Robert. Samantha also got to get dressed up and go with us…
I smartly chose to put her in the nursery for the graduation ceremony. This was my first time leaving her and apparently she didn’t like it…at all. I think she cried the entire time we were gone. Oh well! I was really glad Miss Wiggle Worm wasn’t with us in the church!
Luckily we had won reserved seats at the front of the church in the Street Party drawing so we could actually see Maxwell throughout the ceremony. What we saw was him standing perfectly still. I mean, perfectly still. He moved his lips to sing but that was about it! My little statue! I asked him later that night if he was nervous up there and he said “no” and then I asked him why he was standing so still and not moving to the music at all and he said, “We were supposed to stand still!” Well, he’s got a point! Maxwell is nothing if not a rule follower! 🙂
Here’s the link to the whole ceremony if you have lots of free time: Graduation 2015/2016
The ceremony was very sweet and the video they showed only made me tear up a few times! A great day all around. It’s so hard to believe his time at IPC is over after 5 fantastic years. Maxwell sure has had a wonderful year with Ms. Edwards…
Now we can’t wait for the kindergarten adventures to begin!
After the ceremony, everyone came over to our house for a quick lunch and a little celebration of the graduate!
A special day for a special little boy!!!
Well, not really a goal but still a great soccer game all around! Spencer might not have scored but he’s still a soccer star in my book because he hustled, he played, and he had fun!! Such a big difference from the first games of the season!
Maxwell was a huge help to Robert getting the balls out the net and grabbing them as they went out of bounds. He got his workout in!
Samantha was actually very well behaved too! Thanks to a cup of goldfish, she sat in the chair and watched for a long time! When she was up, she was just walking around to everyone making new friends! 🙂
When the game was over, the team huddled up for one final cheer and baby couldn’t help but get all up in there too!
I’m so, so proud of Spencer! Especially when Robert looked at the roster and realized he’s the second youngest on his team. He’s doing his best out there and we loved watching him run his heart out! Thumbs up for this soccer stud!
