and, holy smokes! TWINS!

See you next week!
On an unseasonably warm and muggy Sunday last weekend, we got our Christmas tree!

We got it in the house and it was a leeeeeeetle tall!

Nothing some snipping shears won’t fix!

After having colored lights in 2014, 2015, and 2016, and then going back to all white lights last year, we decided to add back in some different colored lights again. We also moved it to a new location. The kids were big helpers putting all of the ornaments on.

Pretty and festive and we are ready for Christmas!!

Oh, Christmas Tree! Oh, Christmas Tree!
Like the past few years, we went up to Highlands, NC for Thanksgiving with Robert’s family and had a great time. We loaded up Wednesday morning…and we were really loaded up…

and headed out! It was a pretty easy drive, thank goodness.

We got there in time for the cousins to run around and enjoy the pretty weather.

On Thanksgiving we headed out to hike Whiteside Mountain, just like we did last year on Thanksgiving.

It was another beautiful day with the most amazing views!

The kids did great on the hike and had lots of fun climbing.

We had no issues until the last stretch of the hike. Just as I was saying “no running!”, Samantha ran and tripped over a stump and scraped her arm pretty good. She got a piggy back ride down the rest of the mountain. It was ok though, I’ve had experience doing that! ha!
It was a fantastic Thanksgiving morning with my crew. They are my sunshine!

We made it back for lots of good turkey and dressing and pie…and naps!

No better way to spend Thanksgiving than doing something fun with your favorite people!

As a fun treat for really no good reason (isn’t that the best?!) Robert took the boys to the Falcons/Cowboys game in Atlanta the weekend before Thanksgiving! This was their first NFL game and I think they had a great time!

Only downside? Seats facing the sun.

But a pretty good view regardless!

They also got to see their buddy, Max, who was at the game too.

What a fun day for these boys!

They loved it but, even after this awesome NFL experience, they still think college football rules! Roll Tide!
Happy Halloween from Han Solo, Chewbaca, and Rapunzel!!

We got to have a test run in our costumes on Monday when we went trick-or-treating at Robert’s office.

Let the sugar rush begin!!

Hope you don’t get spooked today!! Happy Halloween!
