Back in early May Robert and I were invited by some friends to go to the Birmingham Museum’s annual ball and it was a fun night! Who doesn’t love an excuse to get dressed and hit the town?

My friend and I even made it into the Over the Mountain Journal!

We’re so fancy.
We got a new cousin and were so excited to meet her last weekend! The kids kept wanting a turn to hold the baby and couldn’t get over her tiny little fingers. 🙂

Welcome to the family, baby Greer!!
Last weekend I hopped on a plane and headed to Charleston for a weekend of fun with some of my friends from Vandy. It was so good to see everyone and, despite a little dreary weather, we had a fantastic weekend. I had never been to Charleston before and am glad to be able to say I’ve been there. My favorite parts of the weekend? Our impromptu pedicab tour (including Patricia’s house from Southern Charm) and our impromptu tour of Sullivan’s Island from our Uber driver! Nothing like a little southern hospitality!

The crew back home stayed busy with plenty of baseball and even a win at the BBQ competition! Some of Robert’s co-workers had been out there since early morning cooking and serving BBQ. My crew didn’t show up until late afternoon after their baseball games but somehow managed to be front and center for the picture!

Love it! Fun for all!
This year Birmingham got a football team! The Birmingham Iron is part of the new AAF –Â Alliance of American Football. The Sunday after spring break, all the boys made it out for the last game of the season (and, given the attendance and lack of finances, maybe the last game ever! eek!). It was an unusually freezing day but they all had fun and even stayed super late to get some famous football signatures!

Let’s hope there’s another season!
