After 12 weeks quarantined at home, we decided we had to make some changes for the summer. We had no sports games to stay in town for, no social events we were going to be missing, no camps to go to – might as well go to Naples! We’ll probably never have this much free time again to just go hang in Naples and I knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. This is also my first summer without a job and I can’t think of a better way to spend it! Unfortunately Robert does have to work so he has to stay in Birmingham. But having the whole house to himself for a few weeks doesn’t seem like that much of a punishment!

We headed down the day after Memorial Day…

and were pretty happy to be out of Birmingham…

and even happier to finally see this lady and give her a big hug!

We love Naples – even more so during a quarantine!

We spent the weekend laying on the beach in perfect temps just as happy as could be! The kids dug giant holes, swam in the gulf, and just loved not being at home!

We saw several big sting rays!

We even all made it out to the sand bar a few times!

We tried to get into the pool but it was too cold.

Samantha got buried…

and then got mad when she realized she couldn’t bust out!

We love the beach!

Last weekend we decided we really needed a change of quarantine scenery! A change of quaranscene if you will! We were thankfully able to use Robert’s family’s condo in Orange Beach just as the Alabama beaches were opening back up. We made the drive with no bathroom stops to eliminate any germs and immediately went down to feel the sand on our feet!

It wasn’t too long before they wanted to also feel the water on their feet…

Then two of them just couldn’t resist and had to go all the way in!

They could not have been happier!!

And this one was happy to stay on dry land!

We were all so happy to be on the beach and out of the house!
