On Saturday night, Robert went to watch the Alabama game with some friends and Maxwell went to ride go carts for his friend’s birthday!

The rest of us decided to have an Ss only dinner!

I couldn’t ask for better dates on a Saturday night!

We met up with our friends Friday morning for a little adventure walking around a new development – hiking trails, golf, a small lake, even chickens!

It was once again beautiful weather! The kids had fun playing around the water…

and you just knew one of them would end up in the water, right?! ha!

The boys spent the afternoon at home waiting for Maxwell’s shoes to dry! Robert went to the gym and Samantha and I took a little golf course walk. Perfect! That night Robert and I went out to dinner with Patrick and Liz which is always a treat. We started Saturday off on the right foot with a walk to the waterfall…

We then met back up with our friends and hiked Satulah – another favorite!

We cheered on the Tide that night to a big victory over Auburn. Roll Tide!! So thankful for a beautiful weekend!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We headed to the mountains for Thanksgiving and had a great trip as always! We left early Wednesday morning and got there after lunch. There was a little rain that afternoon so we didn’t do much but we were happy to be there!

As has become a tradition, we hiked Whiteside Mountain on Thanksgiving morning! This is our 6th year to spend Thanksgiving in Highlands and our 4th year in a row to do this hike on Thanksgiving morning. It’s a great hike with the very best views at the top.

You simply can’t beat starting your day this way!!

Lou Lou whipped up a wonderful feast for us that afternoon!

After stuffing ourselves, we had to get out and work it off a little by hitting a few golf balls!

A fun and full Thanksgiving day in one of our favorite places!!

Gobble Gobble!

One of our favorite days of the year finally got to happen! The Boy Scout Pinewood Derby! It looked a little different than previous years but the cars got to race so that’s all that mattered. Maxwell and Spencer had both worked so hard on their cars before quarantine and I’m so thankful they got the chance to see them on the track.
Maxwell with “Cavallino” and Spencer with “Bullet Bill”!

Spencer’s troop didn’t get together to race but he got to participate in the siblings race with Maxwell’s troop. There was some good competition…

The sibling cars (some of these were winners in previous years!)

They had the most fun watching the races.

Maxwell’s came in 3rd in the main race and Spencer took home 3rd in the sibling race! Success!

Always love this fun afternoon!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving full of good food and good company!

I’m super thankful for all these smiling, dimpled faces!
