After all the fun of Christmas morning, we had everyone over to the house for a wonderful meal and lots more presents! It was nice to have the whole Brown fam – plus GJ! – together.
The very merriest of Christmas days!!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
After all the fun of Christmas morning, we had everyone over to the house for a wonderful meal and lots more presents! It was nice to have the whole Brown fam – plus GJ! – together.
The very merriest of Christmas days!!
We were up early Christmas morning and were happy to see that Santa stopped by!
Everyone had fun inspecting their loot!
Lululemon!
Flying LOL!
But the most fun was when they gave each other presents – or really when Maxwell gave out his presents. He got very into the act of giving this year and it was fun to see.
Samantha was pretty pumped about her new kicks from Maxwell!
And Spencer was really excited to get his gift – which was going to be EXTRA cool had a real life Grinch not stolen the Nike Grinch shoes off of our porch while we were in Paris! Ugh. But, we handled it, got a refund from Nike, and Spencer got a promise to get his shoes whenever we found them!
Of course, opening GJ’s present is always fun! Samantha’s face – haha!
And even though we told the kids that Paris was their big present for the year, Robert and I had one last trick up our sleeve.
You see, Robert’s got a bucket list and one thing on that list was to see Alabama play in the Rose Bowl. How could we not?! California or bust!!! A very merry Christmas morning for sure!
Christmas Eve was busy this year! We arrived home from Paris on the afternoon of the 23rd and had the 24th to get all the things ready! Deliver macarons, grocery shop, set the tables for 16 and prep the Christmas meal!
I even managed to squeeze in some tennis! hooray!
We got it all done and made it to the 5:00 church service by 4:15 – which was good because it was almost already full! We don’t look tired at all, do we?!
After a Feliz Navidad taco dinner, the jet lag caught up with us all and we nestled in our beds with visions of sugarplums…and hope for a good night’s sleep!
Merry Christmas Eve!
The kids were such good tourists all week and we thought they deserved a little surprise on our last day. What better surprise than Disney?! Friday morning we took the train to Disneyland Paris! It was such an easy trip out there…
and we were happy to see this sign upon arrival!
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by these two…
Perfect! Of course we loved seeing the park all decorated for Christmas!
We then spent the day riding rides at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. It was most of our favorites – some with a twist – and a few new ones.
Someone only wanted to sit next to Momma on ALL the rides.
But she survived even when she didn’t!
Spencey found a creative way to store his poncho!
It was a fun day all around and a great way to end the trip! We made it back to Paris in time for dinner…and ended up in a tourist trap of a cafe but that’s ok. We still made it fun…and had more new experiences. ha!
On Saturday morning we got up early and headed to the airport. We had no issues with our flight at all and breezed through customs in Atlanta thanks to our Global Entry. Thank goodness because we had to get home for Christmas day!
It was truly a magical trip and it could not have gone any better. Again, I am so proud of the kids and what good tourists they were. I’m ready to take them all over Europe! Where are we going next?!
After touring the Louvre all morning, we ventured out into the drizzly, kinda gross, rainy day and headed up to Montmartre.
It was a great view from on top of the hill – or would have been if it hadn’t been so cloudy – and we got to see the The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris which was beautiful.
These kiddos were good troopers on a yucky day!
We then ended up walking all the way back down to Paris. Some were more grumbly about that than others! We did pass by the real Moulin Rouge!
On the way home, we stopped into the big department store Galeries Lafayette. Again, some were more agreeable to this stop than others but I’m so glad we did it. It was pretty spectacular on the inside…
and on the roof!
That night we had another fantastic dinner at Lou Lou right by the Louvre.
There are good views in Paris no matter where you are!
Another fantastic day and night in the city of lights!
