Robert and I played in a couples scramble with his dogfight a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun and I’m gonna say that I played much better than I thought I was going to play!

Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
Robert and I played in a couples scramble with his dogfight a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun and I’m gonna say that I played much better than I thought I was going to play!

Fun day with my favorite person!
He gives up his spare time to coach all the sports…

He shows up for the big and small things…

He definitely keeps us laughing…

What we love most about him though is how well he loves us. You’re a good one, Robert Brown. We’re so lucky to have you.

Happy belated Father’s Day!
After I dropped Samantha off at camp on Saturday morning, Robert decided to get some Braves tickets and drive to Atlanta with the boys to meet up for some baseball! It worked out great and we were all happy to have something fun to do!

When we first got to our seats we were all very pleased with our view and our shade!!

Turns out we were in the wrong seats, ha! Our actual seats had an even better view…but we were also in full sun! HOT!

The Braves couldn’t pull out a win against the Phillies but we did see the Braves hit one over the fence for a home run! Their only run!

A fun day with my boys!

Go Braves!
Maxwell is officially an elementary school graduate! I’m so proud of Maxwell. He excelled at MBE and made the most of his 7 years there. Straight As, exemplary behavior, involved in all kinds of activities – he’s an all around great kid! Graduation was a special day and he looked extra sharp in his new suit!
First day of Kindergarten…

to last day of 6th grade!

Graduation was in the auditorium which worked out well because it was a rainy morning. We ended up being able to snag seats for Spencer and Samantha too so they got to come watch.

All the graduates looked very nice up on stage in their best attire!

They gave out a few awards during graduation…but no academic awards. I have thoughts on that which I’m sharing with the principal! In my book, Maxwell got the STEM Robotics award and the All A Honor Roll! I’m also going to give him the “kind, cool kid” award! 🙂

After getting their diploma, the graduates stood alongside the wall and Maxwell ended up standing right beside me and Robert. We loved this! Maxwell did not. ha!

Congratulations graduates!

Luckily there was a break in the rain right after graduation so all the kids got to go outside and shoot off confetti canons! fun!!

I love this class and the group of friends Maxwell has made at MBE. I hope they are lifelong buddies!

I sure do love this smart, handsome young man!

From his globe before kindergarten (with unfortunate face paint that day! ha!)…

to his globe at graduation!

We are so proud of you Maxwell! Congratulations!

Now on to bigger adventures at the Junior High!
After so many nights and weekends spent watching Maxwell play, his rec baseball career has come to an end. What fun it has been to watch him play and improve so much since his first t-ball season in 2016! He’s a great baseball player and I really hope he sticks with it and plays at the Junior High next year.

This year was fun because Robert was able to put together a team of all 6th graders which included several of Maxwell’s buddies. This was a team of really good kids and they had fun playing together. Maxwell was a leader on the team and proved himself game after game to be a valuable member of the team. Along with Pryor, he was our best pitcher and I’d say he was definitely our best catcher.

I just really love to watch him play. His awareness on the field is superb and he knows where the play is at all times. GJ loves to watch him play too!

It wasn’t easy for Robert to make it work to coach – it’s a huge time commitment – but I think he’d agree when I say it was the very best time commitment he could have made this spring. I hope Maxwell always remembers these last two years of baseball with Dad as coach. I’m so proud of both of them.

The team ended up about in the middle of the pack with some great wins…including in the first round of the tournament when Luke hit a single homerun over the fence to win the game! Pretty exciting!!

A great season for a great kid.

I’m so proud of you Maxwell!
