We made it through a full week of school! I’ve gotten a few cute class pics from 4th grade…

and of course we’re documenting our OOTD!

Make it a great weekend!
We’ve had some fun nights out this summer! While Spencer was at McCallie, the rest of us tried out the new-ish Little Betty…

it did not disappoint! Our after dinner selfies on the other hand….

This one’s not so bad!

When Spencer was back he got to have a fun night out for Henry’s bday at the hibachi place…

while Robert and I tried out the new Current Charcoal Grill in town. Another excellent meal even if they did get our entree order wrong twice!

Of course there’s been a few girls dinners in there too…

No one wants to cook in the summer!
The sky was showing off for all the dads – especially Robert – after dinner on Father’s Day…

I’d like to think that pretty sky was Daddo up there saying hello!
Also, what more could this guy want for Father’s Day than this…

Good find Maxwell!
That’s a wrap on baseball for Spencer! What a fun season. As I mentioned earlier, he joined the AA team this year and it was a great move. He got to play a LOT of baseball and these guys put in the work and it really paid off. Spencer proved his spot on this team. He’s been first batter all season and almost always got on base. He did his job!! He also played catcher all season and made fantastic plays. He didn’t get to pitch nearly as much as he wanted but, when given the opportunity in the final tournament, he took full advantage of it and shut the game down striking out a batter and throwing a runner out at home. I’m so so proud of how much hard work he put into this season – it was long and hot and he rarely complained. His positive attitude is the thing I will always admire most about him. He takes it all in stride, doesn’t let the losses get him down for long, and is always ready to step into whatever position is needed. He’s the best.
I already shared the pics of the tournament in Mississippi where they took home first place! Lots of pics from the rest of the season to share too…starting with the Buffalo Wild Wings tourney in Fultondale where they came in runners up!

Next up was the long, hot tournament in Hanceville in Cullman County. Talk about some small town dirt fields!

No ring at this tourney – they lost in the semi-final game where Spencer was up to bat with 2 outs and struck out not swinging. But, he learned a lot and honestly, it had been such a long day that I don’t think anyone was sad about going home!

We then played in the Mother’s Day tournament in Calera – complete with pink socks for the boys and new hats for the moms!

We were becoming experts at managing the long hot days sitting in a ball field under tents drinking “goat juice” and eating chicken fingers from the concession stand!

We had some good spectators at that tourney too!

Goats came in Runners Up that day! The hardest fought game was the semi-final and we were really proud to walk away on top of that one! I’m not sure anyone minded the 2nd place bling for this tourney.

We then played in a tournament in Vestavia and this is the only picture I have from that one…ha!

On top of all of these, we had our regular season OTM games too…more baseball tomorrow!
Wishing the very best Father’s Day to the very best Dad. I know you’d like to be here today…

But I also know you sure are happy to be at the ballfield!

Thanks for always showing up for all the things – even when it’s hard, even when you’re busy, even when it’s really hot!

We love you!!
