Family pics

December 21, 2010

In early December, we had a photographer come over to take some pictures of the 3 of us.  I obviously take Maxwell’s picture just about every day (and think I do a pretty good job! 🙂 ) but I can’t take a photo of the 3 of us by myself and I really wanted a family photo for our Christmas card this year.  Much like his newborn photo shoot, Maxwell just wasn’t feeling it.  He wasn’t crying…but he wasn’t smiley either.  The pictures turned out just ok, but, all I needed was one cute shot for the card and I got that.  Below are some of the others that she took….

She also gave me this weird one where Maxwell’s head is clearly photshopped in from another picture.  Strange, right?  He looks like an alien.

I do love the card we ended up with though.  If you didn’t get one in the mail, check back on the blog Friday and I’ll put it up.

Tastes like chicken

December 14, 2010

The other night, Robert was holding Maxwell when he just started chewing on Robert’s hand.  We thought maybe he was beginning to teeth (apparently it can happen this early) but, nope…he just liked the way Dad’s thumb tasted.

Funny, huh?

Books are fun!

December 8, 2010

Maxwell is just to the age where a book will hold his attention for a few minutes.  It’s so fun to sit down and read a book to him and watch his eyes follow the pages and look at all the bright colors.  I’m sure he’ll be reading on his own in no time!

Oh Christmas Tree!

December 7, 2010

On Saturday Robert, Maxwell and I went to get our Christmas Tree!  Ho Ho Ho!  We found a great one and the house smells so good now!  The best part of it all?  When we got home, Maxwell took a THREE hour nap in his swing giving us a chance to get the tree into the house and completely decorated with time to spare.  I guess he was just filled with the spirit of the season.  🙂

At the tree lot…

Our little elf was afraid we were going to put him to work stringing lights when we got home…

He decided the best way to avoid working was to sleep.  Fine by me! (sorry for the blurry pic, the swing was swinging!)

Our Christmas tree!

Then, because I’m a dork, I made both of us pose in front of the tree with the baby.  Gotta capture the memories!  🙂

If you’re curious after my post Sunday, here is the original and edited versions of the header shot:

Not perfect but I’d rather see some blurry trees than those people!  I also took out the cars in the background.  Pretty neat!

Quick update

December 4, 2010

As you can see by the new header, guess who got a Christmas tree?!  Ho Ho Ho!  Can I tell you how badly I wish those random people weren’t in the background of the photo?!!  Oh well.  Off to decorate…

Update – attempted to remove the people in the background using photoshop.  Definitely not perfect but better!  I’ll keep working on it.

Would love to hear from you! 2 Comments
