Who doesn’t love Fridays?!
Happy birthday today to Susu! The best great-grandmother Maxwell could hope for!!
Some pictures to take you into the weekend…
Have a great one!
Capturing our adventures one photo at a time...
And you can pick your nose!
For the record, my sweet, perfect baby was not really picking his nose. He’s not quite that coordinated yet! His little finger just rested there for a second while I was snapping away and I cracked up! Here’s some more pictures of my sweet, perfect baby looking…well…sweet and perfect! 🙂
Maxwell turned one month old yesterday! I can’t believe it’s already been 4 whole weeks. What a ride! He’s a great eater and is like a little alarm clock going off every three hours ready for a feeding. We have had a few stretches at night where he will go 4 hours…let’s hope those stretches get even longer this month because mom and dad are tired! We often refer to him as our little piglet because he makes these adorable grunting and snorting noises when he’s waking up and when he eats. He’s starting to be very wide-eyed and take in the world around him…including making eye contact with us! He likes both his swing and his vibrating seat but really prefers to be held…all the time. 🙂 I don’t mind. There’s nothing better than my snuggly little baby curling up in my arms. Warning – lots of pictures today. There were just too many cute ones to choose from!
Let me also just apologize now to my baby BOY for the fact that your 1 month sticker is pink. The ones I ordered were supposed to be orange, not pink, but that’s not what I got in the mail and I didn’t realize it until today. I promise to never dress you in pink again!
Look how good he can hold his head up!
I told Maxwell that today was his 1 month birthday and he was so excited he cheered!
He then gasped with horror when I told him he had to wear a pink sticker…
He then said “shame on you, Mom!” for making him wear pink when he’s a BOY!
I then brought in his friend Little Al and he was happy again…
We’re going to take his picture with Little Al every month to see how much he grows over the course of the year.
Even though Maxwell looked this unbelievably cute during the photo shoot…
his patience with me quickly grew thin. Here he’s thinking, “Alright, that’s enough. I gotta get outta here.”
He then thought he could distract me from my camera and get me to stop taking pictures. “Look Mom, over there! It’s a real live elephant!”
I couldn’t be fooled easily though and just kept snapping away. Maxwell persisted, “But Mom, behind you! He’s got a giant trunk and everything!”
I just kept going in for the close up though. Maxwell was beside himself, “Mom, why are you still taking my picture?! the elephant! over there!”
He finally realized I wasn’t giving up and gave in himself. Good thing there wasn’t a real elephant behind me, it was just Little Al’s reflection in the mirror. phew!
By the end of the photoshoot he was totally worn out. It’s hard work being this cute!
Happy one month birthday Maxwell, my sweet baby boy! Dad and I love you more than we ever thought possible.
Have a great weekend everyone!
As promised, here are some more of my favorites…
I’m saving my absolute favorite picture for the announcements. I’ll share it after they’ve been sent. Also, I can’t say enough good things about the photographer we used, Catherine Mayo. One of the best parts is that she gives you the cd of all the images so you can do anything you want with them! Fantastic! If you are in the area and need a photographer, I highly recommend her!
As I mentioned a few posts ago, we had a photographer come in and take some shots of Maxwell when he was 10 days old. I was soooo excited for these photos and just wanted to get some great shots of my sleepy newborn all curled into a ball. Well, Maxwell had other plans. I was afraid all of the pictures were just going to be of the back of his throat because he cried almost the entire time. When he wasn’t crying he was pooping on me and the chair, peeing all over the blanket and just being generally very fussy. Let’s just say I don’t think he has a future in modeling! The photographer (Catherine Mayo) was so patient and stayed for two and a half hours trying to get some good shots in. When she sent me the cd a few days later I had very low expectations but was honestly blown away. She totally captured some fantastic moments of my cute little guy. Below are a few of my favorites…
Check back tomorrow for some more…
