Have I mentioned that Maxwell is crawling up on all 4’s? Well, he is. No more belly scooting, army crawl…we’ve got an official 4 point crawl.
We were sitting over by the window the other day and I loved watching Maxwell look out…
Then I decided that I would go look at him from the other side of the window…
I love his little palm pressed up against the glass…
and his curly little wings above his ears just kill me…
He’s the best.
As you’ve seen before, Maxwell is quite adept at using the computer. He’s such a computer wiz, he’s even got two laptops. Yep, two. This awesome one from Lulu and Granddad and the one on his table of fun. He’s a very busy little boy with lots of emails to send and sites to check out!

Just surfing the web, Momma….googling the trailer for the new Muppet movie, checking out YouTube videos of Elmo…important stuff.
My friends at playgroup were actually telling me about the street the Elmo lives on and it sounds pretty cool…just typing in the web address now…
Whoa! check this place out…there’s all kinds of crazy looking muppets on here!
Including one very big yellow bird. hmmm…I’m not so sure about this street…
“Oh Maxwell, I think it’s a very fun street that you are going to want to visit a lot!”
Ok, if you say it’s fun then it’s gotta be fun! Now let’s pattycake!
I’m sure we’ll be getting plenty of Sesame Street on the tv and the computer in the near future!
Guess what we did this past weekend? Got a new car! A new car for Maxwell, that is. Robert, Maxwell and I headed out to Buy Buy Baby on Saturday (which should be a post in itself – that place is huge and overwhelming!) because I wanted to get some sort of push walker that Maxwell could start to use since he’s pulling up on everything in sight. After looking at all the options, we decided to go with the 4 in 1 walker/rocker/pusher/rider. It’s a super cute little red car with a horn that honks and a steering wheel that actually works…which is a little difficult when your driver doesn’t know how to steer.
Oh boy! A new toy that Dad gets to put together!
Luckily Dad had his special helper to assist…

Maxwell isn’t quite coordinated enough to walk behind it on his own yet…
So we decided to let him go for a little ride instead!

and around the house they went!
Honking the horn and shifting gears the whole way!
Maxwell then kind of fell out of the car…so we decided to put on the sidebars. Safety first!
We then took his car outside for a little spin around the driveway!
I’m not sure who was having more fun, Maxwell…

Yay for new toys!
First, big news – Maxwell can stand up in his crib. This day has been coming for a while. He’s been pulling up on everything and now he can pull up to standing in his bed. I’m sure the jumping is only a few weeks away!
Second, it’s the Friday Favorite!! Today’s Friday Favorite should come as no surprise to parents out there. It’s the Baby Einstein videos.
Last weekend Robert and I were trying to get some stuff done in the kitchen and Maxwell was not exactly in a mood to entertain himself. Robert thought to put on a Baby Einstein video – Baby Noah to be exact – and I couldn’t believe how mesmerized he was by it. We’ve played the videos for him a few times before but I guess I’ve never really noticed how they completely capture his attention. He couldn’t take his eyes off it. Those videos are genius, just like…well…Einstein! 🙂

And he was more than a little annoyed with me interrupting his video!
