Friday Favorite
Today’s Friday Favorite are Maxwell’s AWESOME new red Elmo shoes. They’re from Stride Rite – check them out here. I thought the Ernie ones were pretty cute too but I had to go with Elmo. Every little boy needs some red shoes, right?!
They are super cute and they stay on so much better than his New Balance shoes. I think they’re also easier for him to walk in.
Plus, Elmo is quickly becoming a favorite around here and I love seeing his little face popping up out of Maxwell’s shoes!

On the porch
I don’t know if I can officially call Maxwell a walker yet because he still prefers to crawl but, he can definitely walk when he wants to! He sticks his arms straight out like Frankenstein and it’s just the cutest thing ever. We always cheer for him after he walks and he just beams with pride! What’s that? In other news, there is no news…and no real story behind these pictures. I just thought he looked cute in his tractor suit with his red shoes so I got out my camera.
He didn’t really feel like smiling but I didn’t mind…
Especially since I managed to get a little one out of him anyway.
I have my ways. 🙂

Acorns
A few more pictures from the yard last week…I took a lot! 🙂
It is no secret that Maxwell loves to put everything in his mouth. Guess we can add acorns to that list too!
He saw the acorn…
examined it…
and, of course, put it in his mouth…
I then told him, “No sir. We do not put acorns in our mouth.” All that did was make him laugh…
My little stinker. And don’t worry, I was watching him closely and as soon as it actually went into his mouth I put down the camera and acted like a good momma!
Tuesday
Not much going on this week. Trying to stay low-key as we get ready for some upcoming fun travels. Maxwell is just a treat these days. I sometimes find myself just laughing out loud while I’m watching him playing. The only downside of all of this is that he’s so intently focused on whatever he’s playing with, he can’t be bothered to look at my camera and give me any good smiles!
Last week we played outside and the grass was clearly WAY more interesting than my camera…
and his truck was WAY more fun than my camera…
But then…
He found a leaf.
And he REALLY wanted to show it off for my camera…
Smiles galore!
Oh Happy Boy!
His smiles sure do make me happy! 🙂 But so do serious faces like this…
