The past few weeks Maxwell has been doing “Dinner and Dancing”. It’s an etiquette program for 8th grade boys and girls – they’ve learned how to make small talk, introduce people, table manners, and several dances! Sunday night was the presentation and everyone looked so sharp for it!
The boys each danced with 3 girls and then the couple had to go talk to the parents, introduce their partner and make small talk. Maxwell nailed it, obviously.
It was a fun night. Proud of my handsome 14 year old!
Birthday celebrating! We celebrated Robert’s birthday with dinner at La Fete. Spencer took our picture…
and then told me my arm looked silly like that and even showed me how to pose! ha! I need the tips!

Sunday we made it to church and got a family picture which was my birthday wish! I already shared this but I’m sharing again because I can. 🙂
Yesterday I got to play tennis and have a good day with the kids because Robert had to travel. I’ll take it. We picked up Bricktops, I got cake from Alexa’s, and Maxwell even put a candle in the cake for me to blow out!

It’s Robert’s birthday today!!!!!!
He goes on the campouts, he cleans the garage, he has a file folder for everything. He also started a new job last month and has been working super hard. We are incredibly proud of him, love him so much, and think he’s just the best.

Climbing merit badge!
Maxwell is serving as Senior Patrol Leader this semester which means he leads all meetings. He’s really so good at it and is a natural up there!
August campout at Scout Mountain – lead by Robert!
Court of Honor where both boys were recognized for the MANY merit badges they earned in the last semester as well as for rank achievements – Spencer earned Tenderfoot and Maxwell earned Life! Maxwell also earned the camping portion of the Outdoor Award.
This past weekend both boys went on the September campout. It was a rafting campout and it was a little touch and go with Hurricane Helene making its way through! But, the campsite was fine and the river was flowing and the boys had a great time. Spencer went up with the group on Friday afternoon and Maxwell joined Saturday morning. Because he’s still 11, Spencer had to kayak the Hiawassee but Maxwell got to raft the Ocoee.
I am so incredibly proud of these boys.
