Bzzz Bzzz
Maxwell and his friends all started talking about getting buzz cuts a few weeks ago. I have no idea where it came from but they talked and talked with no action. Then one friend, Gray, went for it. Then Maxwell came home from the LEAD conference saying they were all going to shave each other’s heads. Thankfully another mom agreed with me that it was fine for them to do it – but maybe not to do it to each other! She got her hair lady to come up to her salon on Sunday and buzz away!

Three of them walked into the salon to get a buzz, but only two walked out with a buzz! That’s ok…all in their own time. Love this group of boys and their friendship…
I’m proud of Maxwell for being brave enough to go for it! It’s impossible for this kid to look bad and I think he’s rocking the buzz cut!!
I loved his shaggy AL boy hair…and I love his buzz cut. I love him!

Maxwell’s been up to some good lately…
He went to the LEAD Conference at Camp Mac with school which was a good leadership weekend!
He’s also one of the founding members of the YMCA Leaders Club at the MBY.
Earlier this month he volunteered with them in downtown Birmingham….
a great day giving back!

Telluride day 4
Last day, best day! We started bright and early on another bluebird day!
Maxwell wanted to try and land a jump he had unintentionally done the day before…he gave it a good effort!
But no luck.
We then tackled some moguls…well, they tackled some!
Maxwell tried the jump one more time…and gave it a great effort…but crash.
It was a great day on the mountain! We thankfully got a few clouds in the afternoon that kept the snow from getting too slushy so we got a full day in!
That afternoon the kids went to the park area and all got some good jumps in!
This was also the first year that Spencer and Samantha skied with poles…and both of them managed to drop a pole from the lift! ha!
Thankfully both poles were fairly easily retrieved! We skied until late afternoon and made it back to the condo happy and injury free!
That night we had dinner in town at Smuggler’s at the recommendation of our friend, Ashley. It was excellent!
We had an uneventful flight home on Thursday. Thankful for an amazing week away with my favorite people!
