This weekend I got to make another drive to NC for camp drop off but this time for Maxwell at Falling Creek! We spent the night in Traveler’s Rest again at the glamorous Hampton Inn. We also got pizza but went to a different pizza place than I had gone the weekend before. I had a cute date!
He then got some ice cream and walked around a bit…
before heading to the hotel for the night. We were up and going bright and early the next morning.
Maxwell wants to get there first to get his bunk of choice! Jude had actually beaten us there but he secured the best two top bunks in the cabin for the two of them. We said hello to Yates…
and then met his counselors, Michael and Jackson. They both seem awesome. Michael is from South Africa and is into power lifting, scouts and rafting…couldn’t be more perfect for Maxwell this summer!
I know he’s going to have the very best 3 weeks.
Samantha is now off to camp. Maxwell leaves next weekend. Spencer leaves at the end of the month. They’re not all gone at the same time but they all overlap some which means this trio won’t be together again for 5 whole weeks.
Makes me sad but I’m happy they’re all getting to do what they want to do this summer. Samantha picked Bricktop’s for dinner before leaving…good choice.
Seated in her favorite place – right in between us…and not next to her brothers! ha!
Sweet summer time!
While down in Naples we also…
Got our 10K+ steps every day…
Saw the Garfield movie…
Had lobster at The Bay House…
Enjoyed another day at the pool…
and at the beach…
And another sunset…
We also learned to play Scrabble! My favorite part of the trip! π
Then it was sadly time to leave…
We had an adventurous trip home making our flight by a mere 15 minutes…but we made it! Another great trip in the books and we’re ready to go back!
After dinner at Buzz’s in Naples we were playing Bananagrams and realized we had left our shovels down at the beach! Uh oh! Not wanting them to wash away we headed down there right around 8pm and the kids ran out to the beach to grab them. Maxwell quickly called me and said I had to get out there…this is why!
Spectacular!
I don’t know why we’ve never headed to the beach for sunset before! Naples is the best.
