Spectators

May 12, 2016

Playing baseball is fun…watching baseball is maybe not as much fun. At least not when you’re 1 and 3!! I had my work cut out for me entertaining Spencer and Samantha during practices and games this t-ball season. But, we made it. Luckily we had some extra spectators with us for the final game to help entertain the crew. We love getting to see baby Margaret!

This is how it all looked from the cheap seats…

T-ball

May 11, 2016

Maxwell had his final T-ball game on Saturday. It’s been a great season! He’s really enjoyed it and had a fun experience. I took my camera up to get some team photos before the last game…

The coaches are a little fuzzy but it’s better than nothing!

I then got some fun shots of the game…lots of action! Maxwell batting, playing pitcher, and sliding into home on each run! Maxwell definitely learned a lot about the game this season – he was one of the few that really was always “baseball ready” out on the field.

I love this big smile on his face after that awesome slide…

They ended up playing 3 innings that game so there was one more time up to bat…

and one more good slide!

They also got trophies and a ball after the game. Can’t beat that!

Most importantly, Maxwell and his teammates learned the #1 rule of baseball – HAVE FUN!  🙂

Mother’s Day

May 10, 2016

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – it’s good to be momma around here! I had all sorts of fun treats waiting for me on Sunday morning…

My crew sure does know how to spoil me. 🙂

After breakfast we loaded up and drove down to Montgomery for lunch with Robert’s family. The boys were super excited to see their cousins and we had a wonderful time.

I tried to get a pic or two of Samantha in her cute dress (that Susu nicely hemmed for her!) but she wasn’t having it…

Once that food got in her mouth she was a happy camper the rest of the day! We had a great brunch and got lots of good pictures of the family!

After lunch, we went over to Ronnie and Jenny’s for a while and got in a nice, long visit!

We then got in the (very hot!) car to drive home and Spencer started melting down because he wanted shade. So, I made some shade for him….

Funny boy.

It was a great day with some of my favorite people!

Adventures

May 2, 2016

The kids have had adventures right and left the past few weeks! Now that Samantha is starting to drop her morning nap, she gets to go and do all around town! She’s loved story time at the library…

and has even gotten to go to Moe’s!

Of course, all those adventures wear a girl out.

Susan also took Spencer and Samantha to the Bud’s Best cookie factory for a tour! Spencer and Maxwell have been before but this was baby’s first time. I think they all enjoyed the cookies…can’t say the same for the hair nets!  🙂

Batter up! Maxwell and Spencer got to go to a Barons game with Robert! Like last year, his company had a box and they thoroughly enjoyed the game…and all the free bags of cookies!!

Finally, last week all three got to go to Tigers for Tomorrow with Susan which is incredible – and really unbelievable that it is so close to us and we didn’t know about it! No pictures are allowed around the animals but they all got to see tigers, lions, bears, wolves and tons of other animals up close and personal! They LOVED it! They all came home with new animals to play with and tired eyes…

It’s just been adventure after adventure around here!
